Uhh, no. That was the exact complaint about him all last regular season, that he DIDN'T drive to the net with the puck. I know the playoffs were awesome, but you obviously forget how bad we were last season.

i didnt say he did that all last season. i said there were times. ur proving my point he stays on the perimeter and isnt aggressive enough. and no i dont forget how bad we were last year.

as far as the game is concerned we need to get in on the forecheck and create turnovers and turn those into offensive chances. thats how we were so awesome in the po's.

They need to play on the fourth line where they belong. I think we need to pick up a second-third line tweener winger to give us some offense from the bottom six. I think that's our biggest need right now.

Out of all our wingers King needs to go and bring in Toffoli to fix that hole we have at talented wingers down below. Maybe get rid of Stoll too but he isn't that bad of late and put vey instead of him.

Let me rephrase that as you are right since most our other centers do nothing,

Richards needs to chip in more offensively

defensively he's good.

And he will once he's back centering the 2nd line. The only points he'll get in the meantime are on special teams,PP and PK or on his own. That's not going to happen playing Nolan and King .Sutter knew that when he reassigned MR temporarily until he got his speed and timing back (which he said yesterady Post practice). The top 2 lines are the scoring lines, the 3rd and 4th are shutdown lines.
Richards played a good 1st period, one of the few Kings who did. Sutter did swap out wingers for him and it worked, they had a couple good shifts.
He'll be back on tghat 2nd line by the weekend if not sooner.

Kopitar looks terrible.

First line center looks horrible, former second line center lost any offense he had left, new second line center was our only highly skilled winger.

Dean needed to add offense last year and he did, I think he knows he has to do it again this year if this team is going to sneak into the playoffs.

Edit: Wow the replay on that SH chance, Lewis is a great PK'er, but that just shows his lack of vision. Stoll essentially has a one on one from between the circles if Lewis makes that pass.
