Let the *****#$% and Moani#$% commence.

Guys....Did you think the Kings were going to come into Chicago, Day game and take it too the Hawks ?

Uhhh No.

The Hawks are playing the best hockey you can. The Hawks are making everyone look bad.

At best, I want to see the Kings just keep it close, and hit some people.

Kings first line really blows. I would not mind seeing kopi and brown benched next game they are doing nothing.

I understand the D struggling but there is zero offence.

That's pretty much the last step. If a guy doesn't get it after being benched, there's nothing you can do. It's hard to understand how two guys who dominated last year's playoffs are back to playing like this. I would LOVE to see what goes in Kopitar and Brown's head. Kopitar is back to being a perimeter player losing all battles (at least the ones he bothers to engage), mispasses, puck being pokechecked from him all the time. Brown I just don't know, the guy is a grinder with some skill, but he appears to fancy himself as a pure skill player again, honestly it's hard for me to even think of one positive thing Brown did this season, he looks like a random AHL callup out there.

brown has been playing good this season. started off slow but his game has been fine. kopi on the other hand is invisible, he seems scared to be an impact player on the ice. there were times last year where he would take guys 1 on 1 and bull rush to the net. now all i see is his drive through the middle cross the blue line then dish wide and crash the net. he lacks creativity and confidence

Uhh, no. That was the exact complaint about him all last regular season, that he DIDN'T drive to the net with the puck. I know the playoffs were awesome, but you obviously forget how bad we were last season.

It's a 60 minute game.

Time for Sutter to make some adjustments, get these guys a few red bulls, and give quick a few minutes with is therapist and we'll be right back in this game :)

I'm so sick of reading this. Richards has been our best center for a long time. Sutter said he was too. Richards is doing everything he can out there. Really, name me one thing Richards is doing wrong. This is bull ****.

Not scoring? I never understand the mentality that if someone says "X needs to be better" that people take that as somehow absolving everyone else on the team. Richards DOES need to score more. So do Kopitar, Brown, Williams, Gagne (Jesus Christ, zero goals really?). Basically everyone but Carter needs to step the **** up offensively.

He's already scrambled the lines around. At some point his has to stick with certain line combinations.

The therapist needs to be called in

Offense starts from the Defense guys.

If the D is constantly giving the puck up, or not getting it to a forward fast enough....

You will have ZERO offense.

Watch how fast the Chicago D moves the puck.

I suggest putting Kopitar with them then and putting Richards with the first line.

They need to play on the fourth line where they belong. I think we need to pick up a second-third line tweener winger to give us some offense from the bottom six. I think that's our biggest need right now.

Staple the Kopitar, Brown, Gagne line to the bench the first 10 minutes of the second.

Stoll has looked better the last few games, put him back as 3rd line center, and but the young guys King and Nolan back on the 4th.

Cliffy, love him but no higher then the third line. Brown needs a few shifts with Richards now that Ritchards is turning the curve. Let Richards get him going.

We are a top 6 speedy game breaker short. Other then Carter we have no one, Gagne was one 4 years ago but we need someone to back off the defense other then Carter. Kopitar is capable but his head is up his sewage disposal pipe.

Positives - Carter - very solid all year
Richards - looking better, more involved, not gassed
Stoll - throwing body, taking draws, at least head is in game
Slava - good second year progression, will get better yet
Bernier - two good games, there if we need him
Ellerby - meshing well, good size and stride, just need to see him mad

Negatives - Sutter - hate to say it, too many bench penalties, no real offensive plan, teams are well aware of our system and prepared yet we play the same dump and chase.

Defense - cant get on them too much, they have been decimated injury wise, but we need more. I realize they all know our goalie but Doughty and Slava gotta go meet the opposition goalie once in a while on the PP

The PP. - boring, predictable, played on the blue line instead of the hash marks

The bottom 6 - keep Cliffy, Nolan and maybe Stoll, the rest can go.

Well our D wouldn't turn it over as much if our offense actually fought for the puck and put in goals. It goes both ways but when your defense is lacking your offense has to go all out to put in more goals then we let in. And we aren't doing any of that. We are not forechecking we aren't making their defense scramble, they come and destroy our ddefense.
