Sure Sutter picks who plays day to day, but he doesn't pick the NHL roster, who actually goes on it, pretty much no coach gets that luxury, unless the are also the GM. I am sure coaches have input, but why would you as a coach deal with call-ups....You don't coach the AHL team, you have no idea how any of those guys are playing day to day.

Babcock might be the only coach who has (major input) roster selection wise.

My only point, as it ties to HookKing's original post, was that it was Sutter, not DL to choose to not ice Forbort last year (as well as Gravel). You're kidding yourself if you disagree. This was my whole premise, go back and read my posts if you disagree. DL is not gonna tell DS (prior to this year, from what I gather, tho it's here-say) who he should/could ice. Whether it be from minors, big club etc. My only point in this debate
