Another worthless pass by Seto! The entire right side is open to dump the puck in and he passes it to the left, right into the dman!

Dam, he has looked FANTASTIC. Poised, sticks to his position, stays in his lane. He couldn't have had a better game thus far. So happy with his game tonight

You have to give DS credit for letting him play. Wish he had done that last year.

Forbort didn't look this good last year. Plus "veterans" and playoff race. I think we really whiffed on not playing Gravel. Gravel looked awesome last year and Sutter was stubborn, and I'm a Sutter fanboi. I think DL put his foot down this season with Forbort, and hopefully he does with Gravel, too (if he hasn't already). Gravel may not go back down.

Sutter doesn't make the roster, he just coaches it. Lombardi makes the roster.

Lombardi is the one always saying (you have to pay your dues and earn it).

That's not a Sutter line, (Although he believes you should as well).

So if a guy is not on the roster, it's because Lombardi doesn't want him on it.

Clifford having a pretty good game so far, assist, couple hits, and leading the team with shots (4).

Puck is bouncing everywhere. Pittsburgh clearly played last night. Kings still really can't connect on passes.

Still posting the "Sutter doesn't like rookies" meme huh?

I still don't think he trust them to some extent. His leash is so short , one mistake and you may be a healthy scratch for a while. Yet, the same mistakes can be made game after game by vets, and are rewarded with extra icetime. How can a young guy learn without playing and learning from their mistakes?

Dam, not calling you a liar (would never do that, bubba), but do you have a link that shows or states DL as the one with final say on the roster? I find this highly intriguing. I would think at the very least that Sutter would have a huge say. He's a two time winning champ, and seems like a bit of a control freak, but so does DL. I just would like to read on that.

Dean Lombardi is the President and GM of hockey operations...Why wouldn't he have final say...

Sutter is paid to coach the team, not make roster decisions.

All coaches "hate" rookies. Go to any fan board. The problem I have is Scuderi had no game left at all. Anyone else would have been better.

This is true for all NHL teams.

It's not rocket science that Coaches prefer veterans.
