Suzuki Caufield duo is not the issue. They can play Monahan Slaf with Newhook perhaps
I just wanna see slaf with a Proper Center before we decide to send him down, with dach he was playing well, but newhook plays center like a winger. I think if he looks a little better tonight I’d hold off a bit longer but he’s gotta get confidence soon and play a little bit more instinctually

Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield
Newhook-Dvorak-Anderson
Pearson-Monahan-Gallagher
Pezzetta-Evans-Armia

With RHP hurt and Dvorak back, it's time to break up the atrocious JS-AN-JA line and give Slafkovsky a shot at the top line.

Sometimes the most obvious offensive lines are the best...

honestly, newhook @ center is like drouin @ center, makes zero sense other than we had no one to fill in. Glad Newhook is back where he belongs on the wing. much more effective in that spot.

Newhook is headed to the top line? ugh. Two softies with Caufield and Newhook, they'll be shut down tonight.

I would be going:

Pearson Suzuki Caufield
Newhook Monahan Gallagher
Slafkovsky Dvo Anderson
Pezzetta Evans Armia

I would have no issues with Gallagher and Anderson switching spots, or Newhook Slafkovsky. I really think Pearson would work with Suzuki and Caufield. You need a little jam on your line and damn, our left wing is awful, lol.
Pearson on the 1st line is a capital sin.

No, he got a demotion with the teams two worst players, lol.

Caufield-Suzuki-Monahan

Please...
If Monahan was able to produce a plug like Gallagher surely he can work his magic on a more talented plug in Anderson.

More importantly I want to see Slakovsky with Monahan. Last season he was having his best moments when he was paired with Monahan. I’m optimistic that Monahan can get him going.

If it doesn’t work out a trip to Laval would be justified.

Blues are a heavy team so putting Pezz in the lineup makes sense but I don’t understand their plan with Ylonen.

He’s now 6’1 200lbs, skates well, good shot, good hands, defensively aware, paid his dues in Laval, I think he can be a good bottom 6 winger that plays on the PK but he needs to play games.

This is more to do with needing to find a 3rd man for that line tho
Maybe.
WIth either Anderson or RHP, Suzuki basically always ignored them and tried to find CC even if he was covered.
So yeah, maybe another winger will help.
On the other hand, we know Suzuki can get produce without CC and I am ready to bet that CC would get points with Monahan as well...maybe more than with Suzuki.
