Not everyone can do it! But Martin Lapointe managed it.

These guys are the worst of the fanbase.

They are not even funny. They are pathetic.

Mike is 100% pourcent sure he could do Bobrov job. I am 100% sure he would be a total laughing stock.

Being a Head Scout is much more than arguing over a few players and making a selection.

To be where he is, Bobrov is an influent person throughout the hockey world. He probably have a huge network in all of America and Europe. He is also the leader of a group of scout and he manages the scouting season for our whole team of scout.

Mike would get laughed at.

His speech is full of fluff, but Bobrov also speak in a persuasive manner. And persuasion is a very important real life skill. 100% Mike can only dream of having this persuasion. Another good example of persuasion is MSL in his 1st press conference.

So yeah, we can debate his picks and his feuille de route.

But being 100% sure you could do his job.

I am 100% sure Mike is a top level idiot

Monahan on pace for 45+ goals.

I say he does it.
I don t see it. Let s assume he is still pacing 45 goals come TDL, it likely won t be enough for the Habs to be even a WC team (cause you know Pezzeta Slaf Anderson Evans RHP not scoring, young defense, goalies reverting to the mean…) hence he gets traded to a team where he would be 3C and PP2, hence producing less.

Kirkland, Montreal
Maybe.
WIth either Anderson or RHP, Suzuki basically always ignored them and tried to find CC even if he was covered.
So yeah, maybe another winger will help.
On the other hand, we know Suzuki can get produce without CC and I am ready to bet that CC would get points with Monahan as well...maybe more than with Suzuki.
We can't keep living in this mirage that Monahan is head above shoulders better than Suzuki I'm sorry

Sean's on a hot streak, and Nick's got a lot on his plate

We'll see in 20 more games, and if Sean is still around

Persuasion is important when you cannot convince with rational arguments. This is one of the failures of our modern society. We value communication and influence over truth and abilities. That s how politicians stay at power, that s how bad GMs and scouts stay in their job.

Just saying Bobrov having a network and tenure does not make him great at what he does, just great at at aa highly political game.

He scored in his first game against the blues last year. Why not.
If they play with their pale blue and yellow jersey, they look like Kazakhstan, so that would make sense Slaf scores here (small joke, please nobody take it too seriously ;) )

It's not about Money being better than Suzuki. It's about CC's abilty to score with a good center other than Suzuki. If both can produce the same amount of points on different lines it's better for the team.

I doubt that the Mike guy meant what he said. It’s supposed to be an account for levity.

You’re not wrong, it’s a tough job and even the best experience a failure rate since it’s not an exact science.

However, there are individuals who have better drafting success — and I keep wondering why we can’t get one signed. This is one position where you don’t want to see Buddy Hire land the job unless he also happens to own a compelling record.

Monahan was a point per game guy before running into injury problems. Solid player. Amazing we got paid a first to take him.

So Slaf with Evans and Anderson?

Okay, send him to Laval. If you won’t try him with suzuki or Monahan, don’t waste time here.
The lines aren't conformed yet, warm-ups are about to start and then we'll find out the lines to start the game

I honestly don't think he could keep up playing first line minutes or play the match ups Monahan has. He had some good games to start the season but has been genuinely bad the last few. That whole line has been bad but I don't think he would play much better with different linemates maybe pick up a couple of extra but that's it

It’s more the fact that he needs to play with players who fits his style better. Dach was one he was connecting with. He played with Monahan last year and it helped him.

Otherwise he won’t improve.

Since December 2nd of last year 427 forwards have played at least 30 games or more; only Slafkovsky does not have at least 1 goal in that time, hopefully that changes tonight with him playing on the top line. I’d also be happy if he got at least 1 high danger scoring chance (according to moneypuck he has 0 unblocked high danger shot attempts this season).

These lines. There is t even a point of stating my feeling for tonight.

Slaf gets Jake Evan’s and Donkey. Kid never ever had a chance. That’s like actively sabotaging his development.
