It figures. I get to go to the game where we played exceptionally well and where rewarded for our hard work. I was expecting to be able to see the flaws in person but didn't get to. Oh well....

Great game and the Blues fans were great fun to be around too. They were frustrated and yep there were a few knuckleheads who had to shout a few stupid things (I wouldn't want it any other ways truth be told) but for the most part they were great.

Talk about a fanbase who is panicking? STL has allot of people both on and off the ice who can't even begin to figure out what they should be doing differently.

If anyone watched the game on TV I was wearing an old KLAC white with purple and gold logo hat (the cool kind with the flaps on the back;) ) and a black suit with a purple tie sitting a couple of rows behind the Kings bench.

Anyways good game and to me we looked allot like we did against the Wings only better.

OMG LOL

That Kings scoreboard feature , funny things Coach Sutter say's.

Colin Fraser "Take a Seat on Millionaires Row".

Justin Williams "Do it Right, Do it the right way"

Drew Doughty "Once Sutter got mad at an assistant coach, And shot a puck at him"

Clifford "He once ripped a speaker wire out of the wall, then told Hollywood jokes about"

Trevor Lewis "He called us a Bunch of Movie Stars"

Jake Muzzin "I stay silent and do what he says"

LOL Golden.....Wow

Sutter has quite the personality.

carter's. notice the hole he slips it through to get it there. unreal.

Point taken. But I was making the point that both of them were beauties.

by the way, has anyone noticed that TJ Oshie has no neck?

If this is the Blues (photo taken from Wikipedia):

Then this is Oshie:

Voynov was a boss on both ends. Using his stick defensively very well. Positionally excellent tonight and WHAT a great skater.
He was the fastest skater in the AHL skill competition some years ago. His time was close to Michael Grabner's time during the NHL all star break that same year. Of course different ice surfaces. Point is, he is fast.

Ellerby just didnt make a great pass to Carter but didnt stop skating either. I think Sutter told him to join the rush when possible. He's a good skater so there's some room for error.

I watched Ellerby when he played in Rochester skate the length of the ice and look for an open man, when he realized there wasnt one he drove to the net and scored. (that was the night he had a hat trick for the amerks) it was a pretty awesome night (unfortunately i missed all three goals and caught that one on the replay) :yo: :handclap: :D

An absolutely solid win, full 60 minute effort. It is a great character win coming back from a heartbreaking loss the day before in Detroit.

That's why the Kings are the defending Stanley Cup Champs.

Overall, they played well on this road trip and probably deserved more points then they ended up getting but you can see that this team is starting to round into form. Lots of hockey to be played and I think it only gets better from here on in.

Hope Martinez is not out to long. Mitchell, get your ass back into the lineup!

GO KINGS!

Losing Martinez hurt but they picked up the slack and didnt give St. Louis too many chances, if they had just given up after Martinez went down they would have been slaughtered

it would be the perfect spot for Hickey..

Agreed, and this is why I was championing for him not to be waived (that plus the fact I felt he had some measure of trade value once the season started). Why we didn't waive Richardson, I don't know.

Hickey's doing decent in NYI too, avergaing 12:16 in ice time and just got over 15 minutes last night.

Oh god, hadn't even thought of this hahahaha.

Good luck to Hickey, though.

Drewiske has looked GREAT when not paired with Muzzin--I hope the absence of Martinez doesn't lead to that pairing again. I've been very impressed with Whiskey on all fronts.
