Kings are 3 points out of 8th with a game in hand = very slim chance of making the playoffs.

Not to mention the fact that they're rounding into the form we saw last spring.

Then in the summer he heaps a ton of post dated praise on us for winning the cup.

THEN this January he and Mike Johnson picked us to make it back to the SCF .

NOW, less than a month later, he's back to looking down on us? Or is February just a time of painful memories that brings out the worst of him?

The guy has no idea what a playoff team looks like since he's never led one there. Very slim. No one at this point is very slim on making the playoffs, outside of Columbus maybe, but only because they are building for next year.

We won today, we dominated for the most part yesterday, we are rounding into shape and we play Columbus next. Assuming we don't crap the bed like San jose did tonight, we'll be in pretty good shape by the weekend.

So far that's two games in a row we've seen the Kings dominate, but unfortunately they came away with two points. If they persevere like this, they'll come out on the right end in the W-L column.

You got too many guys out there looking at the stat sheet and wondering how many goals and assists and cookies they got rather than taking a hit to make a play and getting run over to get a puck out so that maybe your teammates can have a three on two. So you can block a shot or kill a penalty when we really need it so we can stay in a game, and we just don’t have that desperation, that accountability, that responsibility to each other and that’s the thing – look at the team we played tonight. They all have that. Their guys that are willing to get run over for the guys sitting next to them. And I said it after the playoffs and it still rings true. We need all 20 guys to have that mentality that if I’m the guy to sacrifice my body or on the stat sheet so that we can be successful. All twenty guys need to have that mentality every single night or we’re going to continue to have interviews like this.
