Close the door on Colliton, air out your grievances and realize there are Blackhawk fans out there that want to see this team succeed. Agreed--assuming the players care that there are blackhawks fans that want to see the team headed in thew direction of success. I get the feeling that some care, some don't--just gut feeling no proof.

Aside from all that, what's the solution to changes? Well, since cattle-prod prostate massage is looked down upon in polite circles, my best suggestion would be to stop putting butts in the seats and end the sellout streak. That'll get Rocky & McDonut's attention really quick.

I think Rocky is trying. He's spending money. It's a combination of an aging core roster, a self entitled veteran core, for the most part a first year coach trying to gain footing in the locker room, and just a bad blueline.

Sometimes it's time to blow things up OR at least give a major shock to the core. I dont think we need to blow it all up ... but there needs to be changes to part of the core (if that's even possible due to the NMCs). This team's been complacent for well over 2 years.

Rocky trying would be taking McDonut aside and, paraphrasing Jack Nicholson, "If the 'hawks don't make the playoffs this year I'm going to blame you, then I'm going to kill you.":sarcasm: Especially since McDonut would have the same conversation with Stan, and Stan to JC.

Sometimes being the boss means sharpening the axe and letting go of the toxic employees.
 
The one thing the Hawks should be careful with is his conditioning. They shouldn't be shy about keeping him fresh with a night off every once in a while. Want to make sure he feels good about playing against nhl players every night and they dont wreck his confidence...earlier in the season he was stronger on his skates and you wonder if 3 nhl games in 4 days was too much...keep the kid healthy, fresh and confident and this is no worse than playing in saskatoon...i'd imagine he'll go to the wjc if he can and the team is not in a playoff race

That's a good post. We can have him be fresh and avoid hitting walls.

Wonder if he would complain about an occasional scratch :sarcasm:

I'm not going to pretend that one game is indicative of the rest of the season. That's a game you put in the rear view mirror and never look back. Just start with a win on Saturday and go from there. 11 games into the season I still have hope. We went through a big slump last year and were able to play well later on in the season. No way our top guys are going to underachieve this bad all year.
