Question for you. If Kings would won 3:2 today and everything else on this game would be the same (chances, shot ratio, offence actions...) would you write also that Kings sucks?

Because for me, despite this loss, if they'll show constantly that kind of performance, they won't have any problems reaching PO.

The team didnt suck as a whole today, i was happy with the effort. This loss is square on Quicks shoulders. 2 of the 3 goals shouldn't have gone in, he needs to stop at least 1 of not both of those weak goals.

Quick for Lundqvist? They are both having trouble this year and maybe a new city would work out for each of them? :sarcasm:

I suggested moving Carter to second line center after the last game, but in doing so I also suggest bringing-up Toffoli and or Vey. With Carter at center, who are our wings that can score? Brown can, but he is extremely streaky. Williams is also very streaky and is probably more of a passer at this point. Gagne hasn't scored in forever. King and Nolan are both forth line wings who are playing on the third.

And you won't as long as he has 2 4th line wingers , not gonna happen. Sutter made that call, and it was the 2nd line, the one WITHOUT Richards that had 2 ES Wings goals scored on them.

If you want Richards to have a chance to produce on that line, put Williams back on the 1st line and at least give him Gagne. Nolan and King are not finishers and that showed today.

Perhaps it's time to split everyone up?

Gagne - Kopitar - Williams
Brown- Carter - ???

It gives Dean flexibility in that he can acquire a C, LW or RW and since Brown can at either wing and Carter can play C or RW no one has to play an unnatural position.

Ton of salary committed to bottom 6 centers, but perhaps someone would still take on Richards, but I doubt it, unless another big contract was coming back.

who goes down though? king, nolan? theyve played well imo

thats why the kings need to get rid of there excess fowards like yesterday.

You can blame Stoll, Doughty, Carter, whoever you want on that goal, but that's a save Quick has to make. Period.

But Carter isn't a playmaker, that's not his game, he's a shoot first guy and being at center really doesn't allow that.

Guys the days of Rookies coming in to turn the Kings around ARE OVER.

Vey and Tofolli are not going to come in and save the season.

No one even knows if those guys can play at NHL speed. If anyone really cares about the payoff's. The team on the ice needs to sort it out.

cause bringing up Tofolli and Vey signals the Season is over, and the Kings are not serious about making the playoff's

cause both of those guys are going to have ineffective games, they are going to make mistakes.

They are Rookies.

I'm starting to agree with the Toffoli call up. Switch things up, make Mike Richards a healthy scratch or something

For what reason??? He had a good game today, a strong one. You want to make a really effective 3rd line that can score? Give him 3rd line wingers. Cause King and Nolan can't cut it.

Why would you trade Richards, that makes no sense.

I'm thinking:

Brown-Kopitar-Carter
Gagner-Richards-Williams

Either that or:

Brown-Kopitar-Toffoli
Gagner-Carter-Williams

Make Richards or Williams a healthy scratch

Gagne-Kopitar-Brown
Clifford-Carter-Toffoli
King-Richards-Nolan
Richardson-Stoll-Lewis

This. We need to cut the dead weight off this team and bring toffoli and vey up. I think they will make a big difference. Today showed no matter how much you grind out a game, if you dont have great shooters, you can lose no matter how much you outplay.

This board and our negative fans disgust me. I'm gonna take a nap.

QFT.

Need more positive views. I just come here for the entertainment value of the meltdowns.

"Fire Sutter!"

"Demote Quick!"

"Trade Kopitar!"

**** me. Fair-weather fans, as far as I can tell.

Btw, what happened to those people who were all for bringing the same exact players as last year... I never understood that. Why re-sign Penner when we were deep enough at the position? Thank God it's a 1 year deal

all lines played pretty well today, i would like to see a few more games before they shuffle again.

Do you completely forget 3 rookies saving us last year ? (king, Nolan. Voynov)
