Lohrei was great, idk how you send him back if he keeps playing like that.

Swayman was sensational, coming into the year everyone was saying we needed goaltending to be our strength and it absolutely has been.

Carlo and Lindholm stepped up big time, same with Marchand and Debrusk

Only downside of the game for me is that you need more from Pasta in games like this, he needs to be a star and he wasn't tonight.

Leafs forwards when they enter the Bruins zone on Carlo's side of the ice.

I don't know what has happened to Lindholm.

When he first arrived in Boston he was so confident, calm and sure with the puck in his own end.

Today he made a great play to anticipate a pass to Matthews along the boards, intercepted it and then just gingerly flipped it back up the boards to the Leaf who passed the puck in the first place.
He is prone to the boneheaded giveaways. I was thinking about asking on the Ducks forum if this was what he did there too.

Have to say, I really like Kevin Shattenkirk. When they signed him I thought it was absolutely unnecessary and assumed he was washed up, but he's an incredibly competent defenseman in his own zone and willing to jump into the play on offense. I'm really impressed, it's great value for the money.

Ok, they once again made me totally forget my earlier annoyance at the late home start….missing half your regular D corp, no problem…we’ll still grind you down and find a way to win…and if all else fails, every night we send out one of the best goalies in all of hockey…happy pig pile, smile , and a bear hug:vhappy::towel:

Interesting that Pastrnak and Nylander are buddies, the longer Nylander waits to sign in his FA year the more I can dream that he could come to Boston and play with his buddy.

Back to the game, great all around effort after a very rough stretch in the 2nd period. Swayman great again and Lohrei was really impressive, his reach in the Dzone was noticeable and his offensive abilities are well known. Coyle and Beecher dominated the dot and Debrusk and Marchand with strong games. I also liked the play of Steen and Heinen.
Nylander is going to command 10-13m in free agency. I’d rather sign Bertuzzi for 5.5-6m and use the extra cash to sign a right dman to take Shattenkirks spot

He hit a post with like 4 minutes left and then it was all Bruins the rest of the way. Also drew the pp in overtime.
