He ripped a puck off the cross bar with a minute left to play. (Set up by Heinen.)

The Zacha-Poitras-Pasta line struggled. They were outshot 4-11.

IMO, Poitras has struggled with 1st and 2nd line matchups. He didn't play well with Marchand, and didn't play well with Pasta tonight. They put him out for one shift with Frederic and Geekie and they had the puck in the Ozone for a minute with Poitras setting up multiple scoring chances.
Poitras late in the third was incredible. Major puck hound

He had a shift in the 3rd where he won 3-4 puck battles and kept the play in the o-zone. You could see he was gassed but he still battled hard enough to win pucks against guys like Matthews.
Think I know which one you are talking about. Looked like multiple 51s out there. He was all over the place keeping the play alive in the offensive zone. I scared my dog on that shift I was so juiced at Poitras' tenacity. Pure guts and will on that shift.

When he came here that was one of his biggest upsides. He's so good in developing young players and building their confidence. We have been seeing it with guys like Jake, Frederic, and Carlo, but especially with the rooks. Rebuilding year? Monty says "pffft."

Absolutely. I know last year sucked the way it ended, but I really like Monty, and he's definitely the coach for our young kids. He's the right guy.

Ok, they once again made me totally forget my earlier annoyance at the late home start….missing half your regular D corp, no problem…we’ll still grind you down and find a way to win…and if all else fails, every night we send out one of the best goalies in all of hockey…happy pig pile, smile , and a bear hug:vhappy::towel:View attachment 762143View attachment 762144View attachment 762145View attachment 762146View attachment 762147View attachment 762148View attachment 762149View attachment 762150View attachment 762151View attachment 762152View attachment 762153

I know he's not Bergeron, but he's got some of the elements. Like "magically" being in the right spot.

Lohrei played great. Was fun watching him. Couple turnovers but so it goes.
Carlo also. Best game I've seen from him in a long time. Give me more of that

Zacha could be a 50+ goal scorer with all the high danger chances he gets and can't convert on.

Sway and the goalies once again kept the B's in the game.

*Edit. Lindholm's been not good this year so far.
