Ullmark's the same goalie that choked away a 3-1 series lead for a 135 point Boston. Just saying.
I can’t imagine what Sam Bennett is going to be allowed to do to Mathew’s.. god forbid the Leafs react back!
Tavares wasn’t savvy enough to go to locker’s room for five minutes. Suspension and major would have been guaranteed. Doesn’t have kucherov smarts.
Where did I say reffing was one sided? You seem very confused.Sigh.. I’m not getting in to it beyond this sir.
“Fortunately, it's a 7 game series, so it's unlikely the Leafs will get that kind of officiating again.
5on5 should be a concern for the Leafs”
Is your statements. Which would obviously imply that you felt the reffing was one-sided and had an effect on the outcome of the game. That is the argument being made there.
You will return fire with you weren’t implying that it affected the ultimate outcome of the game, which is inconsistent with the statement.
Good luck to your team for the rest of the series.
Ya ya ya one of Brady’s future grandkids has already been bruised by the refs from tonight.I've heard one of Knies' grandparents is already bruised from whatever Bennett will get away with when next they face each other.
Id did feel and play out like a carbon copy of the old leafs sens series. Ottawa can't get a save and the leafs got them especially at key times. Refs impacted the game just the oposite way as the previous rendition. Felt like the same nightmare for me as a sens fan as the last leaf series tbh.Crying? Who is crying?
That game was exactly what a Battle of Ontario game should look like. Really loved Gaudette turtling & desperately trying to get away from getting filled in by Domi in particular.
So I think the amusing you're experiencing is based on wishful thinking. But if that's what it takes to make you sleep better tonight after that spanking, then by all means. Sweet dreams.

Didn’t watch the game but man oh man sens fans must be pissed lmfao
I think Knies is going to handle his own business this time around.
Plus I think there's a good chance Bennett and Hagel mutual cheap shot each other out of their series on the same play. Matter anti matter reaction.

All I'm saying is if it's a special teams battle, it's in the Leafs favor (they scored 3 on the PP). If the refs put the whistle away (like they often do in the playoffs), the Sens were the better team 5 on 5, and it's going to be a closer game.
This is how the "new look" Leafs plan on winning the Cup someday. "Chief" coming in and coaching this style of bullshit hockey. At least losing was 'honorable' under Keefe - maybe the 'respectful handshake' comment actually meant something in the end. Funny that.
Embarrassing what we just witnessed.
Don't take the spirit out of playoff hockey; it's what sets it apart from regular season.I'm just glad the refs called the game as it should be called. The reputation in this league is that playoff hockey is "different". This is just code for "goons are allowed to get away with illegal plays".
If the league wants the big cash from massive companies like Amazon, they need the game to be about talent and tenacity.
Tenacity is not the same as dirty play. Dirty play is for cowards and those who raised them.
I'm not basing it on one game. I'm basing it on the fact that this is a mismatch at this stage of each team's respective arc. Ottawa will get better, but they are not at Toronto's level right now. No shame in that. I think Ottawa can win a game in this series, but I don't think it goes past 5 games. Unfortunately, I wouldn't expect Ottawa's goaltending to get any better. This is what playoff Ullmark has always looked like. Ottawa will need to move off him in order to ultimately make progress. It's one game. I'm not even a Sens fan, but to judge how a series will go, based on Game 1, is shortsighted.
I mean they played Toronto just like florida has played the last 48 playoff games but I guess different rules?... i dunno.Alert to everyone. If you thought Ottawa was being tough tonight… lol it goes to show the IQ of YOU! How soft is Ottawa? How rattled is Ottawa? If Leafs win by anywhere near the same score on Tuesday it might be over
It's easier to be the better team if you're boarding guys and cross checking them to the head and the refs don't call it.All I'm saying is if it's a special teams battle, it's in the Leafs favor (they scored 3 on the PP). Shakes aren't until tomorrow afternoon when I'm sweating it out.
They was playing much of 2nd / 3rd period with 3 goal lead and playing to protect the lead.
So it's not really a concern at all, expected goal was basically even at 5v5 until leafs took a 4-1 leafs

The hit on Holmberg at the end of the game? The double fists to Domi? The hit on Robertson and McMann which were clear interferences?Don't take the spirit out of playoff hockey; it's what sets it apart from regular season.
Saying that, penalties like Greig's crosscheck should be called 100%.. but come on man that other stuff ruined the game.
Would be a Leafs fan to post this, lmao.I'm just glad the refs called the game as it should be called. The reputation in this league is that playoff hockey is "different". This is just code for "goons are allowed to get away with illegal plays".

Look at this dirty crosscheck:It's easier to be the better team if you're boarding guys and cross checking them to the head and the refs don't call it.
Yes. The refs nuxt decided it was different rules so instead of a possible suspension they gave a min penaltyI mean they played Toronto just like florida has played the last 48 playoff games but I guess different rules?... i dunno.
Nobody talks about Domi like they do Brady. Sens fans believe Brady is Bob Probert 2.0 or at least they talk like he is.Domi is a coward never won a fight in his life vs an actual fighter ...just the facts.
