Staying out of Box is key for Ottawa and even then I doubt they win this series .I enjoyed Klevin smacking that fake tough guy Domi in chops though.He went after Gaudette afterwards

Klevin is so tough eh?, Domi should have fought him, I agree.. bit of a size difference. Domi got the best punch out of all of it Fake tough guy Gaudette would get tuned up by Max. We shall see.

Anyone else find the Refs are more trigger happy to call penalties then usual? The Jets game felt like soft calls both ways and same for this.

Not that it’s not a penalty but it’s the playoffs, call the obvious and dumb and let them play otherwise

Always like that in round one i feel. The deeper in the playoffs the more things that are normally called penalties go ignored.

Was Gaudette even trying to be tough?

Domi starts the scrum by going at Kleven presumably because he doesn't like the hit at the whistle, runs into that brick wall and just grabs the next guy he sees and drops his gloves. Gaudette is tying up Carlo when Domi grabs him.

Not that it mattered but Highmore getting 4 minutes in the scrum to negate to original high stick penalty of Robertson is f***ing hilarious.

It’s always like this at the start of the first round.
The officiating starts stricter than the end of the regular season. It will last for a few games but the longer the series go the more the calls will dry up.

Temu Tkachuk and the piss babies should study the rules of the sport they pretend to play. One of the most pathetic showings I've seen, should be relegated back to Belleville instead of stinking up the NHL playoffs.

This is part of where you see how much playoff experience matters.
It takes time to understand where the line is and how that changes as a series goes on.
Ottawa should have a better understanding of how this goes and a better idea of how to control their emotions by the next game but there are other challenges they will have to learn to deal with quickly as well.
