Kings are missing a lot of speed tonight (Gaborik/Pearson and Greene playing) so who wouldn't take 1-1 going into the 3rd?
 
1-1 hockey game with 20 minutes left. Bottom six has played well tonight.

Toffoli has a goal, need Carter /Kopitar to get on board.

I don't even think Greene has been that bad.

The top players have to play better. Doughty has made several weak plays.

This team does not Live or die by Matt Greene or the bottom six.

Kopitar/Carter/Doughty/Muzzin have played ok, but they got to get on the board more.

Let's hope Zatkoff continues to play solid hockey. He's looked unrattled and is getting in nice position. Actually very surprised in his game thus far.

Being able to say (I told you so), is very important to folks.

Trust me, when Lombardi was in year 5 of the rebuild, I couldn't wait to tell people (told you so) he is fired.

I'm actually having fun watching hockey tonight, until I switch over to the Kings.

You guys should check out Gretzky's interview today where he discussed how creativity has been sucked dry in favor of a systematic approach.

This Kings/Sharks game has easily been the dullest action of the night. Sadly, the most entertaining guy on the ice got hurt at the end of the 1st.
 
Ugh, poor Quick, and poor team.

Well, they DID tighten up when Scrivens/Jones came in a few years ago, just figures this happens when the goaltending depth took a hit haha. Good thing we somewhat addressed that :laugh: Budaj/Zatkoff platoon here we come

Has been a problem playing San Jose lately.

The Kings aren't a terrible team, but I have a hard time believing they're anything more than middle of the pack at this point. Kopitar's talent is orders of magnitude above the two guys he's skating with, and we only have about 3.5 NHL caliber defensemen. Depending on Quick's injury this season could be over before it really starts.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong at the end of the season though. And yeah, 1-1 after 2 periods isn't bad all things considered. Guys are running around a lot, I'd rather have that now than in the last two weeks of the season, so I guess we'll see.

We can't actually hold anyone accountable. We're just fans. Plus there's not much to be done when you have Brown at $6m under the cap. You can't move that money, so at best you can move it from somewhere else, but that just creates a hole to fill one.
