Carter played better than Kopi, scored more goals, had a better +/- and is much cheaper. This game Carter's not having a good game but Kopi's +/- is -2 while Carter's is 0. And again, Kopi gets more $ and is trying to negotiate so he can be one of the top 3 highest paid centers in the league right now and make almost twice what Carter does.

Neither guy was good enough. Carter had two hot streaks with the 70's line, early and late in the year. Outside of that, he did about as much as Kopitar.

I can't remember the last time I went to a Kings opener. I usually don't go to Kings games until around February.

I think some of us are concerned (or were concerned/still concerned) because we didn't see the team improve on paper over the offseason, play pretty lazily throughout camp and preseason, and are now seeing more or less the 14/15 Kings in the 15/16 opener. That's concerning, isn't it? And the "chillax, man, only one game" excuse doesn't really do much for me anymore. People were saying that up until we lose to Calgary and Edmonton in the last week of the season last year.

Idk. I've said the same thing for a while now: I really don't know what to think of this team anymore. I think too much crap has gone down in the locker room, and they've lost whatever magic led them to two Cups. Part of me thinks you lock up Kopitar forever. Part of me thinks you trade him and start over while players like Doughty are in their prime.

All I know is that this is the least excited I've been about Kings hockey since like 2008.

On his comment on the replay when Quick got run by Couture. Erhoff goes after Couture and he seems upset that the Kings are going to after. What does he think, LA is just going to let it go.

Don't get me wrong, it's not illegal in any way, it's just a ***** move to sneak up on a guy like that then gloat about it, and though it was a dumb play by Lucic, not surprised at all he went after horsie.
