This team is in decline. One game, yeah yeah, I know. But this same group of core players was in decline last year, and they haven't gotten better. There is no fire in this core anymore.

If we miss the playoffs this year I'm all for a scorched earth rebuild. Keep Carter, Doughty, and Toffoli. Everyone else is up for grabs.

The thing that really sucks is not only does the defense look atrocious, but the offense is non-existent too. There's not much positive to take away from this game. Ya, you can say it's just one game, but that's not it. It's not that they are going to lose, it's how they are going to lose. They had a chance to make a statement that this is a new Kings team. Even if they lose they could play with some passion. Instead it looks like more of the same bad hockey we saw too much of last season from so many players. I hope Dean plays games like this for Kopi's agent every time someone mentions he deserves Toews money.

Its been years since the kings have been this bad at leaving their own zone. 5-5 or shorthanded. Just terrible breakout/clear.
