Good:

Kreider and Trocheck as a shutdown against other teams top lines is a problem. A problem for whoever the are playing against. The RW is irrelevant. Can be plug in play.

I don’t know if ive ever rooted for a single line more then I do for the Kid line.

The confidence is oozing from Chytil. Almost looking like A different player. There’s a new compete level in his game as well. It looks like it’s effecting Laf and Kakko in a good way.

If Panarin put that one in that went off the post we wouldn’t be discussing how to complete the top line.

I’ll take Zibanejad over Eichel all day long.

Halak got crushed on this board early on. He just played a really strong game. 5 in a row for him.

Cuylle got his first NHL tilt under his belt in his first home game. He did well against Kolesar. When he realizes he’s bigger and stronger then most of the players he will face that’s when he will start to look like he belongs at this level.

Bad:

Ben Harper is looking more like Jared Tinordi in the last couple of games.

Rangers only have 1 more W then both Washington Caps and the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres aren’t a wildcard team Currently.

Theres 2 players that are simply not top 6 guys in the top 6.

No Kravtsov

Likely will see Cuylle back to HFD and Blais back with the Rangers.

You make it seem like the fans have a say in what the team does. The GM, coach, and players don't give a shit. You don't think 23 pages of complaints after getting 1 point instead of 2 against a very good Toronto team on the road is over the top? The complaining on this board is f***ing absurd. The Rangers are 16-4-3 since early December and in solid playoff position yet one would think they are bottom feeders from some of these idiotic comments after a loss. I'm convinced some actually believe they must win every game. It's like some have no clue what happens during an 82 game marathon NHL regular season.

All I get from this rant is that you don't really follow what is going on. But you know what, that's fine, you do you. Personally I find the complaining about complaining tedious. But that's also fine, it's just my opinion.

That's what you got from my post? LOL. I have been watching hockey and particularly this team for decades but I don't follow what what is going on. Yeah ok.

Good long fight that he got the better of. Kolesar is no slouch. Cuylle carries himself well for a 20 year old
He's been serviceable in a nothing sample, but matches the eye test.

If he's an NHL 4th liner at 20, I think we can get even more out of him down the road.

He showed the heavy shot that’s been talked about on his one chance. He’s likely not a real option for this year, but I’d love him in our bottom 6 going forward

He doesn't follow what's going on because he doesn't agree with your uber pessimistic outlook about a team that has gone 16-4-3 in the last 23 games?

I had to take the dog out and missed the fight. How did the kid do ? And was it much of a fight?

I guess the answers the question by the Baha Men.

He has pop as they would say in baseball.

Even though I think the fights themselves and the results thereof are somewhat immaterial, I like the attitude of wanting to show who he is right away.

The important part, of course, is having a punishing/irritating element that can take a productive shift. I think that's there.

Panarin seemed to pick up his game after getting hit up high by the puck tonight.

Something is off with his game. Distracted and making poor high risk passes.

When the guy is on his game he threads a needle with his passed with ease.

Good win.

They continue to win in spite of Panarin.

The guy makes way too much money to be this one dimensional. This team is so much better off with that cap allocated to a player like Meier plus whatever other depth can be had with the difference.

I am a broken record.

I liked the fact that he seemed to be shooting more, but the unforced turnovers make me want to rip my hair out.

FWIW I was at Sharks Hurricanes last night and Meier was pretty unnoticeable to me.

Surely you are not alone.

NYR cycle:
1) sign a hot expensive UFA
2) feel elated
3) feel disappointed
4) whine about cap space he takes
5) spot a purported savior in the form of another expensive UFA
6) clamor to make big risky trades, possibly for no definitive/conclusive reason
7) sign another hot expensive UFA
8) rince repeat
