Avs playing perimeter offense. Not generating enough traffic in front of the net, not enough second chances off rebounds. Only goals the Avs scored tonight were about five feet in front of Sorokin or closer.

Goaltender interference is a unicorn, they’re just making it up as they go along. Now if a player even touches the crease it doesn’t matter if the goalie initiates contact, it’s coming back.

Third pairing is unacceptable. de Haan is soft as shit and Malinski can’t manage the puck.

I don’t know, something has to give here, this team simply isn’t good enough.

LOL now we are blaming Blackwood. This team gives up more cross crease passes for easy tap in goals than any other team I watched. We would need a magician in net to save those. No goalie gonna do any better on this team. I was saying all along that even if Georgiev was so bad, he wasn’t the only issue. This team can’t play defense

I don't think Blackwood had the best night tonight, but he's been far from the problem. It's a combination of our defense needed retooled and the coaching needing to change. It's the same Harlem Globetrotter bullshit from the offense, awful defensive cover constantly leaving guys wide open, and a moron with no adjustments running the PP.

honestly one of their better games of late. Lots of chances, Sorokin played very well. Isles are hot, Sorokin outplayed Blackwood, it is what it is. Liked what I saw from Necas and more dirty/straight ahead hockey. Need to find a way to get more shots through though but still good numbers there.

I think this is my biggest gripe from Bednar. He seems to coach physicality out of the players they bring in and it f***s with their game. Manson used to hit everything in sight and so did Ross Colton in Tampa and Wood in New Jersey. But for whatever reason Bednar coaches them to become pillow soft so that they can "check better"

I can’t even really blame Blackwood. The Avs are playing absolute Pejorative Slur style in their own zone. I don’t know how they haven’t gotten though their thick f***ing heads that they can’t outscore bad defensive coverage anymore. They haven’t been able to for well over a year.

At this point they need to either make their moves now (coaching, getting a dman, getting a 2c or whatever is priority in their mind) or just admit it’s a throwaway season.

Edit: and lando needs to either admit he’s not coming back or hurry up and get back on the ice so he can see if he has anything left. This has been a good damn perpetual distraction and dancing around his cap is getting super f***ing annoying.

This this and this. Love the player but having his status be uncertain is the primary reason this team is where it’s at. At least they won when the did he’s robbed them ever since.
