He can make the occasional pass but thats once in awhile. Other than that yah hes pretty bad.

I hate how passive this team is. Should have knocked out their teeth once they hit Makar, instead they f***ing played like that.

Thats the problem with so much turnover this year and last. None of these guys fought together enough in playoff series. So many new faces, so little left from the 2022 team. The locker room chemistry has to be off with so much change this year.

I can’t even really blame Blackwood. The Avs are playing absolute Pejorative Slur style in their own zone. I don’t know how they haven’t gotten though their thick f***ing heads that they can’t outscore bad defensive coverage anymore. They haven’t been able to for well over a year.

At this point they need to either make their moves now (coaching, getting a dman, getting a 2c or whatever is priority in their mind) or just admit it’s a throwaway season.

Edit: and lando needs to either admit he’s not coming back or hurry up and get back on the ice so he can see if he has anything left. This has been a good damn perpetual distraction and dancing around his cap is getting super f***ing annoying.

Avs were good tonight, but the defense is just abysmal. Manson was fine but he needs to go to the bottom pairing, I like Girard but he makes mistakes that end up in the back of the net a lot and gets outmuscled constantly. CDH and Malinski can f*** off.

We need a middle pairing guy that can cover up for Girard and shift Manson down a spot, or an upgrade on Girard (meaning trading him) plus a bottom pairing guy to force scrubs out of the lineup. Our defense went from a strength to a weakness.

I know Mitts hasn't been good but I think before anything the defense needs to be fixed.

People have to take it easy on Blackwood. He goes 12 straight games giving up 2 goals or less. Then in the games against Winnipeg and Minnesota only gives up 3 goals. Yeah, he hasn't been the greatest since the Oilers game but if people seriously thought they were getting prime Dominik Hasek and he wouldn't give up more than 2 ever again... yikes.

The Avs are such a weird team. They lost both games they should have won (Boston and tonight) yet won the one game on this trip they should have lost (NYR).

Thought so. This is what happened to him in New Jersey and he lost his crease. Hopefully he turns it around because if the Avs have another Fourgiev on their hands the Avs are f***ed.

LOL now we are blaming Blackwood. This team gives up more cross crease passes for easy tap in goals than any other team I watched. We would need a magician in net to save those. No goalie gonna do any better on this team. I was saying all along that even if Georgiev was so bad, he wasn’t the only issue. This team can’t play defense

I think if you can get an upgrade on Mittelstadt, you're going to naturally spend less time in your own zone defending. It's what made the Avs from 19-22 so dangerous.

I'm just sick and tired of watching Mittelstadt labour up the ice looking like he's giving everything he's got only to be caught by every last player in this league, try stopping up, be too slow at that and lose the puck. Every. Single. Time.

On top of losing faceoffs like he's Nathan MacKinnon.

Blackwood has come crashing down to earth ever since the Oilers game. They might have broke him. I think thats 3+ goals against in every start since that game?

Is why I'd play Wedge next gm, home game. Still can't believe the avs haven't called me.
