Gotta be honest, sleep was more exciting than the 3rd period of last nights game, so probably thats why missed the last 20 min. of that game.
I really, really hate those lines. After all Rossi has shown so far this season there's absolutely no reason he should skate with guys like Foligno & Hartman out there. Both seem to have lost a step this season and I can't see any kind of chemestry there, especially between Foligno & Rossi.
I'd play Rossi on the first line of course because I think he has earned that spot with his play all season. But hey, thats just me. Coaches seem to have no problem in demoting him every other night. The Kap injury is no argument for me, playing Rossi in a middle 6 role.
At least give him guys with some wheels to work with. Ohgren should be paired with Rossi if u don't play Rossi on the first line. Unfortunately all the other forwards left on the team are bottom 6 guys or AHL players and sadly there is noone down in Iowa who could come up to help.
So I'd probably try Khus who is fast to play with Ohgren and Rossi. Might not be the biggest line in NHL history but at least try something different than play the vets there who have the worst season in their careers.
Boldy - Ek - Zucc
Ohgren - Rossi - Khus
Foligno - Freddy G - Hartman
who - the f*** - cares
Personally, I'd swap Ek & Rossi because a bit more size & expeience wouldn't hurt that 2nd line experiment but again: That's seem to be just my opinion based on what I see on the ice.
Oh, I've almost forgotten to say this: Gus & the posts have stolen this one for the wild. Gus will have to play on his "vazinaesque" level (like he did last Oktober - Dezember) and carry this team, then they have a legit chance to win every other game and make playoffs.
