Let's just play the rest of the season on the road. If we do make the postseason, I really hope we start on the road. We've never gotten anywhere when starting at home.
Just remodel the home locker room to resemble the road teams.....problem solved...

Good to see some depth scoring. Knut, Spurgeon and Foligno.
Hero of the game for me is Gus Bus, .969 SV%.

Now take a quick shower, get on the plane to Montreal and beat those annoying canadians too.

My team here had the same problem years ago. Always good on the road, sucked at home.
The coach decided to take the bus to the home games. Drove around outside the city for hours, arrived at the arena just like a road team.

Almost 23 minutes on the ice for Zuccarello, picked up another point. With Kaprizov out there's going to be a lot of pressure on him in Wild's playoff race, then it's good to know he has 15 years of experience in this league. Ek, Boldy and Rossi all playing well with him.

Woodoo, lol. Yes I hope you're right.

Nice shift by Knut.
You mean piss missile?

They're all better players than zuccarello. Why wouldn't they be playing well with him?

Gotta be honest, sleep was more exciting than the 3rd period of last nights game, so probably thats why missed the last 20 min. of that game.

I really, really hate those lines. After all Rossi has shown so far this season there's absolutely no reason he should skate with guys like Foligno & Hartman out there. Both seem to have lost a step this season and I can't see any kind of chemestry there, especially between Foligno & Rossi.

I'd play Rossi on the first line of course because I think he has earned that spot with his play all season. But hey, thats just me. Coaches seem to have no problem in demoting him every other night. The Kap injury is no argument for me, playing Rossi in a middle 6 role.

At least give him guys with some wheels to work with. Ohgren should be paired with Rossi if u don't play Rossi on the first line. Unfortunately all the other forwards left on the team are bottom 6 guys or AHL players and sadly there is noone down in Iowa who could come up to help.

So I'd probably try Khus who is fast to play with Ohgren and Rossi. Might not be the biggest line in NHL history but at least try something different than play the vets there who have the worst season in their careers.

Boldy - Ek - Zucc
Ohgren - Rossi - Khus
Foligno - Freddy G - Hartman
who - the f*** - cares

Personally, I'd swap Ek & Rossi because a bit more size & expeience wouldn't hurt that 2nd line experiment but again: That's seem to be just my opinion based on what I see on the ice.

Oh, I've almost forgotten to say this: Gus & the posts have stolen this one for the wild. Gus will have to play on his "vazinaesque" level (like he did last Oktober - Dezember) and carry this team, then they have a legit chance to win every other game and make playoffs.

As Hynes said...just like Kaprizov, Zuccarello also makes his linemates better.

Here are some stats for you. What are they telling us? Rossi should be 1C. But Hynes thinks Rossi on the 2nd will balance the lines more and the 2nd line will become more of a scoring threat. Fair enough.

Points per game Dec 23-Jan 23 (Kaprizov out):

1. Zuccarello 1.17
2. Rossi 1.00
3. Boldy 0.92
4. JEEK 0.64

Points per game total this season:

1. Kaprizov 1.41
2. Zuccarello 0.95
3. Boldy 0.88
4. Rossi 0.86
5. JEEK 0.62

This tells us that when Kap and Zucc are not making toxic decisions on the same line, other players can actually elevate the team.
Rossi played GREAT with Kap without Zucc, Rossi played GREAT with Zucc and without Kap, Rossi played OK with Kap and with Zucc.

Do whatever you can to keep Kap and Zucc from playing together and everyone will play well enough to elevate Zucc's game and Kap can play like the elite player he is without feeling "obligated" to get the puck to his "buddy" and vice versa, resulting in turnovers galore.

We sure looked energetic, fast, and competent. Loved that marat got one... i like him. Leafs looked uninterested. They are a better team than they showed, and i believe in their coach, but I don't think their lineup is going to get it done, ever.
