I don't want to start an argument, so I won't respond to anything, but I did say I'd look at the replay later to figure out it, and I'm kind of a dog on a bone sometimes.
Gaudreau shot it immediately but the defender in the crease blocked it perfectly with his skate. Also, he could not get as much on it as he maybe would like to have, as his hands were being hooked/slashed as he shot (I didn't notice that in real time). Freddy Gaudreau, while you're not a great offensive dynamo, in this case I find you NOT GUILTY!
Kaprizov is the only guy on the team I think would have scored that, and that's only because he does insane things with the puck that nobody else can.
