Halak,Khudobin and Bachman are also 5'11".

As is Tim Thomas.

I'm not going to pretend that I am some sort of expert on goalies, because I am most certainly not, but there is definitely still place for smaller goalies in the NHL. For a smaller goalie it's really a question of how well they play the angles.

I see him raising hes draft status after hes solid play in the u-18 games. Would be surprised to see him go undrated.

Really liked what I saw today against Canada, but man I just wish he was a couple inches taller. If he was, I think he would be the top goalie prospect for the 2013 draft, hands down.

I'm getting really excited about Saros. Just won U-18 bronze with Finland

He had an amazing U-18 tournament. He would definitely be the top rated goalie in this draft if he was a little taller!

This kid seems to be the real deal. Are there any nhl comparisons on him? Hopefully pittsburgh picks takeshim in the third, from what ive heard he is apparently on of the best finish goaltender prospects in awhile. Who knows maybe he grows a couple of inches.

I could see a team liking him enough to pick him in the late 2nd, maybe even high enough to be the 2nd goalie off the board.

I'm hoping the Leafs can grab this guy in the 3rd round. We need to get some young goalies back in the pipeline, and Saros seems like he has some pretty high end potential.

No way. Nowadays nobody takes a short goalie in the 2nd. Third round is the max if some team is in desperate need of a goalie prospect.

I wouldn't call it impossible; maybe it's not likely, but possibly could happen.

18-year-old Saros has been a regular starter for the HPK team in the Finnish League this season and is doing a great job. He has played behind a poor HPK team (12th place /14 currently) and is still 3rd in the league with a save% of 93,40.

Looking forward to WJHC's, he might be the next Tuukka Rask for Finland in that tournament. ;)
