Really a shame he didn't get the shutout last night with a late goal from NJ, because he really deserved it.

I've been a fan since we drafted him and since watching him put on that dominant WJC performance firsthand, but man alive, is he shredding the AHL and making a statement in his first batch of NHL games. He's so fast and so good positionally.

Yeah, he should have had a shutout vs the Rangers too.

At this point I don't think I'd take another goalie prospect over him, super impressive.

First career shutout against Blues.

He didn't have a ton of big saves to make but St. Louis had a few good chances(Fabbri and Parayko come to mind) and he did a fantastic job containing the Blues shots so very few rebounds for the defense to deal with.
I think he has a lot of people pulling for him to succeed, i'm one of them.

His shutout brings his numbers to:

3-2-1 1.16 GAA .957 save %

Time for him to get quite a few more starts. He's earned it.

He has had horrible Goal support in his losses one of his losses was a 1-0 shutout and the loss vs the Rangers was a 1-1 shootout loss. In his wins the team has scored more than 4 and dominating games.

Those numbers look fake. This kid must be amazing.

He's incredible. There were a few doubters on the Preds board last year because of his size but those of us who watched him in Milwaukee told them not to worry about it. His positioning, quickness and instincts are incredible.

He's not this good obviously, no goalie is but he's going to be a great player.

My only fear with him is that, given time and enough tape, coaches will find some weakness in him. But he's been just insane so far. Looks so calm, no wasted movement.

He has the quickest feet of any goaltender I can remember in recent history. There were at least 2 shots last night that I thought there was no way he could possibly get to, but he did it and he made it look effortless. His positioning is also really good, which I think helps make up for his size a bit. The only goal that beat him he was hopelessly screened and just couldn't see the shot whatsoever.

So, is the feisty little Finn called Juuse Saros (what a strange dwarf kind of a name...) sitting as a backup in the PO run against the Ducks (haven't had time to check)? Or is there some other dude waiting anxiously for Rinne to drop the ball, oh, puck?
