JG and JD have entered phase 3 of obviously a very patient and meticulous plan to gain our trust and confidence and then destroy the Rangers from the inside out.

Now I don't want to cause any panic but we're like 1.5 phonecalls away from a 3 years $3M contract for Matt Martin. The only way this FA can get worse.

I’m still confused why there is so much uproar in here. You would think we have JJ a multi year year deal with a 5 mil per year cap hit to play on the top pair . I mean we just got the top pick in the draft, our farm system is loaded, our pro team is on the cusp of being a bigtime playoff team for a long time. I just don’t now why there is a lot of negativity. We knew it was t going to be a splashy offseason like last year was

just got on and hate to be negative but to see Fast get two million when we probably turn around and give Martin or any other free agent garbage 3 million is just puzzling.
Still think he for sure has three good years left especially playing on the third or even 4th line.
And of all teams Carolina gets him.

I don't know all the rules for the expansion draft, but could Fast have seen that he wouldn't be protected and then a good candidate to move to Seattle. He may not have wanted that.

Maybe the Rangers lowballed him? Maybe they only offered a 1-2 year deal and he wanted 3. Lots more to this than we'll find out.

Sucks that a lot of my favorite players have moved on

We won two lotteries and had a billion first round picks. If we didnt have a loaded farm system it would be criminal.

I would bet against Martin signing with the Rangers for 3 large.
