Yes but if you're paying attention to the thread he's also going to show the kids how to ask for market value for the skills you have in your profession and then when your team doesn't want to give that to you, get traded.

I don't like Callahan at all for the way he went out and have been rooting against him since he left but I also have no ill will if he came back. To be honest, he kind of fits what they're looking for while taking on a cap dump for assets as well. They want a veteran guy who's a leader in the room, they want a grittier player, and he had a pretty decent playoff. Tampa obviously has to make it worth their while though considering this sets up Tampa to be a force for years if Karlsson's extended. That conditional pick becoming an outright 1st isn't nearly enough IMO.

Not me, I was souring on him HARD in 2013. Him playing the entire season with a shoulder injuy pissed me off, then I just realized: “wait, callahan is a whiny, divey ****head, and also intensely overrated”

I always liked him, plays hard, overachieves for his skillset, and is a good lockerroom guy - he was relied on too much by the fans and team to do more than he really can, and his paycheck definitely reflects that as well

I don't want anyone we have right now to play the way that Callahan plays. Keep a letter off of his jersey and I'll live with it as long as something nice is coming back with him (Joseph, Stephens, Volkov plus the 2nd turning into a 1st no matter what.)

I have no problem with a player wanting money. Every player wants a raise, I want a raise and i'm sure you want a raise. Not a reason for me to dislike someone.

Callahan sucks but we will too.. 2 years left on his deal isnt horrible and he's a good mentor for the kids.
BUT it needs to be worth it.. having to face EK for another 7 years
