Nice.

We didn't have room to hand out any ridiculous contracts, because of previous ridiculous decisions made by the Edmonton Genius. And we consider this a successful day.

The bar is set REALLY low around here...:help:

Or because we have to resign our RFAs that are huge parts to this team and its future?

I agree Richards should be gone but other than him, who is eating up cap space that shouldn't be? Nash? Lundqvist?

Moore is nice feel good story, but he hasn't played hockey in more than 12 months. Zero interest.

dont get, why you don't get it...

Hasn't played in a year +. Not saying it's bad, just not ready to annoint him yet. He can PK and take draws...similar scouting report as Halpern last year. More of the same type of pickup as Powe, Asham who are on the scrap heap a year later.

Moore provides much more offense than any of those guys.

Much better all around player than any of those.

Asham was advertised as a very physical, veteran presence and look how that turned out.

I'm seeing the same thing with scrubs like Nystrom, Hendricks, McLeod, Haley being mentioned as solutions to the Rangers abysmal bottom 6. None of those are skilled players that can play a consistent puck on stick game. I personally do not want a bottom 6 completely filled with hackers and coke machines. We need much more skill, not only in the top 6, but the bottom 6. I want NHL players who can generate offense and can effectively move the puck up the ice, not more guys who keep hitting. We already have Dorsett, Haley and Boyle as options, now we need to surround them with talent.
It's perplexing. I actually don't mind Moore, because he's only making $1M, but every year we're handing out $1.5M to 4th liners, it never makes a difference, and Ranger fans want us to keep doing it!

If our 4th line is some combo of Moore-Boyle-Dorsett, that's over $4M for a job AHL players could pretty much do. Spend the money elsewhere.

Anyone here think Sather could've created a similar package for Ryan? He is exactly what this team needs, pretty pissed that they couldn't pull the trigger on a trade.

You would have just continued to tout the nonsense that the rangers D are unable to win in front of their own net, even though anyone who watches knows they win the vast majority of the time.

The only logical thing you could be thinking is that the rangers D don't fight players when they bump the king. That is where your idea of "lack or toughness" comes from

Negative, our d usually wins along boards and with their speed. We are ineffective in front of Hank.I watch every game.

Nystrom cnttract is the exact same as Prusts. 4 yrs, $2.5M.

Still want him, Viper? My jaw literally dropped seeing that.

So Anaheim says they are looking for a dman and a 2C for Ryan - gets neither.

understood. i guess i'm looking at the player he was before he left the nhl for a year... hoping that Moore is the one we got. that's the type of player our bottom 6 needs..

we'll see i guess...

Give Haley an honest shot. He doesn't hurt you, he'll take on anyone, he's got a mean streak, good team guy and we have him under contract.
