I'd expect the Leafs to be all over Weegar if he is available. I think the Sens have a lot of young cheap spare pieces the Panthers would want but I wonder if the Leafs could make it potentially work.

Leafs could use a RHD that can play high minutes. The 1 year rental might be a tough one though.
Id imagine we'd only trade for him if we know a guaranteed contract extension tbh.

I am not sold that we are worse than last year. We already had the worst goaltending in the NHL, I think this tandem is better.

Mik was good but he fumbled so many socring opportunities.
I won't miss Campbell.
Gio and Lilly should be mainstays now.
Boosh was probably our worst defenceman, so that's not a huge loss.

Tampa got worse, Boston is about the same, Florida got worse.

Ottawa got a bit better but I am not sold on Talbot and I don't think Giroux will add too many wins. Big question is can their core take a big step?

Detroit is still a mess of pieces, not going to compete with us.

Montreal will be a lot better, but still not a threat.

Genuinely surprised Kerfoot and Holl are still on this team.

It was reported the Leafs like Kerfoot so I think it's unlikely they move him.

Holl should be a trade target especially with these UFA prices. But there has to be demand and a buyer. As the UFA market dries up, things will move to the trade market

Landeskog, Kadri, Manson, MacDermid (didn't play, but still), Erik Johnson, O'Connor. So to answer your question probably significantly.

Only 3-4 tough guys? The rest are the type that takes punishment.

Clifford, Simmonds, Gio, Rielly, Lub, we had guys who were willing to give and take too.

We were tougher than Tampa and the refs decided to call the tightest playoffs I've ever seen, so doesn't always work out.
