But would you take it over Campbell and Samsonov at $7M? What if Jack stayed for $4.687 x 5? Samsonov doesn't make the Murray signing any better but no durability issues and there is no way he isn't better than Mrazek was last year. Still .896 in 44 games. Do the Leafs have a better defensive system then the Caps? I think they might but the deal requires the guy takes advantage of the reset. I wanted Comrie but 28 NHL games is a microscopic sample.

He was looking at the absolute value, not the /60 value (/60 adjusts for games played). Matt Murray was way higher than Campbell when you look at the /60 stat. Biron shouldn't be talking about these stats if he doesn't understand how to use them.

I don't like the term. If Jack sucks then you're stuck with him, whereas Murray is off the books in 2 years regardless.
