Has anyone seen anything about a Kovy sign and trade rumor?? And that thew Rangers were one of three teams possible? A friend told me that he saw a tweet but I haven't seen anything.

I would use them both on the first unit. We should play to the strengths of our personnel. Which Forward would be a better option than shatty or D'angelo? We didn't get those guys for the PK and the PP has been broken for years. A good PP can make us elite. We are always solid 5 on 5.

In essence, the Rangers have traded Stepan and Raanta for Shattenkirk, 7th-overall Andersson, DeAngelo and Pavelec.

I thought Sakic wanted an under 25 LHD... Hamonic is neither. They have Johnson and Barrie. It makes no sense.

If you're offering something he didn't want, I could see Sakic saying, 'I'll take Hamonic but with your top prospect'...

I still find it hard to believe the Rangers are confident with Hayes as their 2C going into the year. There are still moves to be made.

What a great top 4 we now have. It's possible that Staal could be useful as a bottom pairing guy if used that way plus we have Holden, Bereglazov, ADA, Pionk, Graves to fill out that bottom pair.
 
Rangers have a LEGIT (not media driven) Top 5 defense in the league now.. Lets see just how good Henrik can be..
 
I'm going back to minny simply because I think staal would waive to go. They have centers. Based on cap friendly positions

Coyle
Ericksson-Ek
E. Staal
Tyler Ennis is listed with all 3 forward positions.
They have 5 d under contract with Ryan Murphy who I thought was getting bought out.

I get that guys listed as center played the wing. I just see a fit for a trade. They were disappointed lay year.

For sure. They have quite a bit more cap space and additionally need a 4th line C. At the very least they need an insurance policy assuming they are going to give Lias a chance to make the team.
