GDT: Free Agent Frenzy #2

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. I don't think he's elite but I do think he'd work well on this team. I think for a reasonable price (which wouldnt happen because Sakic), he'd be a nice add. We need centers.
 
Maxi- I think we might as well miss the POs if we got Jumbo plus Marleau as well as going deep. Huge turnover on the team, many new things to adjust too. We are a fast skating team and that is what works, Jumbo and Marleau have had success playing an extremely controlled puckpossession game. How would they work in the East with 3 new teammates?

I was in favor of getting Jumbo before he POs. But I changed my mind wrong how fast paced our game was against MTL and OTT as well as how slow Jumbo was for SJ.

I get the allure, we aren't winning with what we have, why not spend two years betting on a couple of vets while the team and kids develop further? But I am very sceptical. I do get the allure though. In the end I wonder if we don't have a better chance to win with kids than vets.

I'm not saying your wrong and believe me I am the last person who wants to bring Jumbo or Marleau in.And I'd hate it if it were even more than a year.

All I was saying is that if it did occur which it won't but if it did, combined with the addition of Shatty to go with the rest of our club, Rangers very likely would be the co-favorite to get to the Cup finals from the East.

No worries, I'd be shocked if either Marleau or Thornton left their comfy digs in NoCal for the craziness of NYC.
