If Shatty is still ponding his next move, then I doubt he's coming here..

He must have plenty of "good agents" giving him good advise and mess up his mind. Remember that the more he makes, the more they make..

O yea im sure his agents are telling him he has limited time to make this big money so take it now and when that contract is done you can finish your career whenever you want.

Disagree, If Shatty is still pondering his next move when the rangers are offering 3 years less than the devils, I think its a pretty good shot he's gonna end up a ranger.

Shattenkirk 6.9m/4y
Thornton 3m/3y
Marleau 3m/3y

Book it ;)

As much as I would hate giving them 3 year deals and its really risky bringing in Jumbo anyways due the seriousness of his injury he suffered, I do have to admit, if we added all three of them, added to the rest of our squad, we'd likely be either the favorite or co-favorite along with the Penguins to come out of the East.

We'd be absolutely loaded.

Not liking the fact that Jumbo and Marleau aren't signed. I mean, I'd take 'em on reasonable 1-year stopgap deals, but looks like they're both holding out for three and that would not be good...

I dont think Joe is moving. He's still working out in the San Jose training center. I just think Joe is waiting to see what Marleau does before he puts in his contract demands

I think it drags out because he wants to come here. He wants a better offer from NYR.

Duchene's destinations drying up:

Dallas down the middle: Seguin, Spezza, Hanzal
Islanders are out (from what rumors are being tossed around)
Nashville down the middle: Johansen, Fisher, Bonino

The longer the day goes on, the longer I still believe he will remain in Colorado.
They don't HAVE to trade him.

Im not fond of giving up a lot for duchene when he only has 2 years left and is coming off an awful year

I think that awful year + 2Y left means his price will come down. As evident that he hasn't been moved yet. GM's are smart, they know the asking price is ridiculous. Dallas and Nashville have probably moved on. The Islanders moved their best asset to get him, so who knows? But I think most GM's are in the same boat on a price, and if Joe will move him, he has to move back toward the middle.

That is going to be a fun media circus if all that drama goes on and they don't trade him. This isn't the first time Joe tried kicking the tires on moving him, he did the same thing last year coming off a fantastic year, he held on to him, Matt had a down year, and he's still asking for that 2015/16 Matt price not 16/17. Not saying they can't keep him, they can, but it's just a disaster.

i read it as he has no interest in signing with the teams offering him big $$ but its not an easy decision to walk away from that kind of dough so he is probably hoping we up our offer.

Buy out Staal, and go with this LOL

Marleau-Thornton-Nash
Kreider-Zibanejad-Buchnevich
Miller-Hayes-Zuccarello
Grabner-who cares-Fast/Vesey

McDonagh-Shattenkirk
Skjei-Smith
Holden-Bereglazov

I see Steve Mason signed for $4.1 per x 2 with Winnipeg....uggggg.

If he thought playing in Philly was tough, wait till he gets behind that back end in the Peg. His #'s are going to be terribad. Never would have signed him for that much money even tho the term isn't too prohibitive.
