GDT: Free Agent Frenzy #2

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Preds built some insane depth today with Bonino (not a fan of the contract long term) and Hartnell
 
Suspense is starting to get to me.

About to begin 3rd hour of FA frenzy and just one move done by JG

Have to believe signings and possible deals start to happen this hour.

Let's do this Jeff. If we can get this done my 4:00, I can still get 18 holes in with the fellas...lol

Cutting to commercial doesn't just "happen" and it's bad TV.

Either way, he says what he says... the most they could do is not have him back on. That's the fun (danger) of live TV. I'm not a Pierre fan but you can't stop folks from saying dumb **** when there's a camera on them.

You don't need to look far to see that in this world.
 
As the clock ticks and we wait for Shatty to decide lets have some fun.

Would you trade Hayes/ Graves and a second round pick next year for Matty D ? Only reason I said a second round pick is because I don't want to deal our first next year.

I just see them getting complaints for it. Like its a sports show. Imagine all the kids watching that to see who their favorite team is signing etc.

With holes upfront still open they are definitely in discussions. The question is with whom and also whether Shattenkirk discussion is also ongoing.
 
Duchene's destinations drying up:

Dallas down the middle: Seguin, Spezza, Hanzal
Islanders are out (from what rumors are being tossed around)
Nashville down the middle: Johansen, Fisher, Bonino

I agree completely.

The problem is what folks will do for ratings/clicks/followers or what a live show does expecting (after touting) so much action and they have to freelance ideas on the fly because nothing is happening.

That's what you get and it's awful.

No argument from me on that.

Have a plan in place.

I would do this in a second.

Sakic won't tho. He'd want Hayes and Skjei plus a pick for MDuchene. That I wouldn't do but Sakic would.

I don't think we make good trade partner to be honest. We really don't have the assets to give up for Duchene.
