You say he’s a liar then he’s a liar. You got shooters in here.

Lol, the last thing I heard about war the Burns thing.

And the Brown to EDM thing but McKenzie mentioned it soon after.

I suspect you can make up a rumour about any available defenceman and Ottawa and this stage and it would seem plausible.

Dorion must have read Flowers for Algernon since the season ended and decided he could be that guy

I have to admit that I find the idea of Tanev compelling.

RHD, defensive defenceman, old but not too old, Calgary may be looking to shed assets.

The trade thread is full of the usual crap but in a vacuum he’s sort of the ideal guy to play with Chabot or Sanderson.
I'm intrigued at the idea of adding McDavid but I'm not sure we can beat Dvorak, Allen and a 2nd

After thinking about it, I'm sold:

Start the season:
Chabot - Zub (23 minutes/night)
Holden - Klingberg (20 minutes/night)
Sanderson - Hamonic (17 minutes/night)

By February:
Chabot - Zub (22 minutes/night)
Sanderson - Klingberg (21 minutes/night)
Holden - Hamonic (17 minutes/night)

I think they'll have Sanderson play the stay-home role as a rookie, and let the offense come later. So he can grow into a good partner for Klingberg over the course of the year.

Quite frankly, the fact that you're not pumping your source for more information after Burns fell through, means your loyalty to HFSens is in question. :madfire:

Sanderson-klingberg sounds suicidal unless Sanderson gets more experience.

If you're Klingberg, why wouldn't you?

It's clear that his value is depressed from having to play in a defense-first system in Dallas.

In Ottawa, he would have a spot on one of the two good PPs, get to play with one of the best top 6 groups in the league, and there's a clear spot in the Sens top 4 RD for a good puck mover like him. A 1yr or 2yr deal to prove his value before signing a longer term deal would be good for him.

Sanderson is a defence-first player, and always has been. With his skating and stickwork, he'll be very good defensively from day 1, especially if we can take offensive responsibilities off his plate.

And while that's not Klingberg's strength, it isn't a liability, either.

But yes, I'd start him off with sheltered minutes alongside Hamonic, and let him grow into the 2nd pairing over the course of the season.

Ya I don't know if I can trust the word of a father of 2 ? Like if you really know stuff you'd be at least a father of 3.
I mean, that's why I'm no insider, stuck at two kids and we got the factory closed after the last one...

He's a rookie who has never played professional hockey and has had his hand in a cast for a year. I'd at least like to shelter him for October.

You added a line about playing with harmonic much prefer that. 3rd pairing, 2nd pp, 2nd pk. Slowly learn and develop.
