All I said was dude had to give up a ton in taxes and that sucks. You guys turned it into a down with the rich, f them for being rich. To me that is the definition of butt hurt.
I mean, when you try to portray a guy as a victim from being taxed and "only" having a take home that wildly exceeds by an exponential degree the average person's lifetime income, you got to expect some push back.

I mean, our jealousy of super wealth impacting our feelings aside, you seemed pretty butthurt up there in your other comments.

Fair enough I just was saying that it would suck to make 70m or whatever and give up a huge chunk of that. Truthfully didn't mean to start a riot, also I am not defending the rich or portraying them as a victim I just meant it would suck to give up all that money.
Don't worry everyone, any accountant worth their salt will be able to hide a bunch of his salary from the taxman.
If that's the case why can't accountants do that for regular folk ?

That's my secret captain I'm always butt hurt
Narrator: They ended up regretting it.
I hope we get to talk about this in a few years

I'm sorry that hurts your butt man. I just try to not let all the worlds problems hurt my butt and just try and be happy, while helping where I can.

Poverty has been decreasing in Canada for 50 years. It's gone from 14.5% in 2015 to 6.4% in 2020. It's among the lowest in the world.

People aren't butthurt and mad at billionaires because there's rampant poverty. People are butthurt and mad at billionaires because they can't buy as much stuff as they would ideally like and their house will be four times as expensive yet half the size as their parents was.

But their anger is misdirected. Be mad at bad government, not the small group of people who've benefited from bad government. Don't be mad at Timmy!

I’d be more likely to blame corporations, lobby groups, and hoards of voters who vote in governments with agendas to reduce regulations, reduce taxation, and to make government smaller. Cuts to education to help folks become less educated and more fearful/reliant on the loudest voices.

I wish we could understand that our government doesn’t have to be, and rarely have only a 4 year term. We actually have a system here where an elected government can make real long term impacts and stay in power for decades as a party. The 4 year election cycle really doesn’t have to apply here, but it’s just another example of the cultural bleeding over from the south….

Selling off and privatizing of public assets eased down with the promise of cuts and efficiency is such crap as well.

But we do what we always do and play crabs in a bucket. Too busy being upset that the postal carrier wants to make more, to focus on the businesses that make billions off of us while doing nothing for us. Governments here are not a third party, they are us, and we do actually have the power to effect change with our numbers, but we divide so easily, we’re short sighted, and intrinsically selfish. We all want to be millionaires, instead of banding together to all be comfortable together…. Blah blah blah… we’re just humans after all!

/pointless rambling rant…

definitly

though most self incorporated workers I know save tons of taxes then the regular full time employee. Its def magnified with the more money you have
I make more than double contracting with a couple GC departments than I did as a federal public servant but my taxes are only a couple grand higher now. System is definitely rigged.
