"leaf fans" would include all the large corporations and other businesses that buy tickets. And I would say that is the vast majority of season ticket holders. Ottawa probably has 5% of the corporate base that Toronto has.

There's so many other awesome things to discuss. Don't get dragged into a discussion about ticket sales. That poster will never budge on their position, and it will just generate another 10 pages of useless debate.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but there are a lot of people in the southern, Ontario region within an hour or so of Buffalo that have bought season tickets with the Sabres because they can't get Leaf season tickets & are Leaf fans. Buffalo has just as many problems with their arena being sold out to Leaf fans as Ottawa does. A little suprising is that there are also a lot of Montreal fans in the area that also fill up the arena whenever Montreal comes to Buffalo. There are still quite a few original six fans around.

Seattle has the same problem with Jay fans coming down from Vancouver & selling out whenever the Jays come to town & it pisses off Mariner fans.

Not a lot of rumors this time of year. Not that nothing is happening league wide but outside of arbitration cases there isn't a date or deadline for deals to happen. Think of the Hall/Larsson or Subban/Weber trade. Two big trades that happened out of nowhere.

All the available dmen have been moved or signed except Chychrun and Arizona wants a boatload for him.

Expect us to start the season with hoping one of JBD/Thomson can play with Chabot while Zub gets paired with Sanderson.

If things go sideways, I'd expect Dorion to cave to Arizona's demands if Chychrun is still available.

Chabot + Zub + Holden + Hamonic had a combined +2 in games for the Sens last year, while the games were lost with Mete, Zaitsev and Brannstrom laying a -43 combined egg. Demoting or removing those anvils will really help the corps.

I wouldn't overpay for Chychrun, given that we hope Sanderson can be a valuable top 4 late this season or early next. While Holden is a little old at 35, Hamonic is just 31, so this group should have a very nice top 4 through the Giroux years, bordering on way above average if Sanderson matches his promise.

The depth is there, but the biggest factor is Sanderson. If he performs well this group ends up pretty good..

I say you run with this for 10-15 games and make adjustments if there’s injuries or if Sanderson doesn’t excel.

Obviously if you can acquire a good dman for a fair price you don’t say no.

can hold its own, especially with Sanderson playing as a bonafide top 4 to start. However, with the moves on offence, I do not think Dorion will want to risk hesitancy or faltering on the D side of the game, and especially for Chabot (who will want Zub over Hamonic) and I doubt we will want to introduce our next star D with Hamonic, thus I see a move as imperative.

is a heck of a D group(not excellent but really solid) to go with a above average starter and a deep forward group who possibly still need time to mesh.

I just cannot see Dorion risking all our moves to collapse to the gutter because our D's depth falters. I would pursue overpaying for someone like Larsson and what have you. But if the market is really difficult, then we are left with no choice but with what we have.
