I know I'd insist on greig or pinto PLUS a 1st in 2023 - even if it's top 5 protected. Because...why not. I have time to move him.

from our point of view pinto shouldnt even be on the table, besides mann being extremely high on him and the good showing in the limited icetime we dont have a replacement 3C and the remaining C's on the market are not good (outside of kadri and bergeron which dont count for this discussion)

trading greig would suck but at least that makes sense

He's a me first player that will be a distraction. That's not the type of team they are building here. They want a specific culture. He used to be so good that you could look the other way and accept it. It's about his brand not the crest on the front. That's why he isn't signed by anyone yet. Sens included.

He’s been pretty accurate this summer - no reason to dismiss his speculation.

He also has Dallas interested in Branny. If we trade JC I’d swap out Branny for prospect/picks assuming the org believes they can sign Klevin.

Yeah, if it’s not something widely known to the public (Sens interested in Chycrun, Sens willing to move 7th for a winger or D, Sens likely signing Giroux, Sens trying to move Zaitsev, etc.), guys like Francis can’t make up believable scenarios that have a possibility to happen using the slightest of common sense

I don't know what the trade would like for Chycrun, but I think if we expect the Yotes to absorb Zaitsev, the price is going to be high.

For Chycrun, you could go with the old axiom, so it would be a player, a pick and a prospect.

Then there's the assets to dump Zaitsev.

So maybe Formenton, 2023 1st with top 3 protection, Grieg, 2nd plus Jarventie/Crookshank could be an example.

Folks will undoubtedly argue and make other suggestions (replace Grieg with something else), and that's fine. But, I think it will take something in that range and we will we see more 2nd guessing if the trade was worthwhile if or when that goes down. And, technically, Chycrun is not a RD, so there's that as well.

Lots of things can happen, and I wouldn't be surprised to see just about anything happening, including the possibility we stay put and hope our 2 young prospect defenders can graduate and take regular roster spots.

Lol I feel this deal would be done if this were the case. But Kevin is your boy and I respect that. I hope he’s right.

Come on … you said the same crap when I suggested HC was using reg fees to settle cases … that was a huge miss … it’s obviously been well reported. It’s okay for the guy to hit on a few things … You don’t have to push him down to justify anything.

Francis has been much more accurate than the “more reliable” media who trolled this Fan base with 7OA for a salary dump.

Give me three random posters who you think are more accurate ?
