Man I friggin love Zub. Sucks so much that he's experiencing the health issues he has because he's played such a solid D game (that was sorely needed) the majority of his time here.

In the event that he's moved, going to suck to see an absolute warrior go.
But that bum Brady needs to go! ;)

In case the echo isn't strong enough, Greig and Quinn are not equal in value.

That said, I do think Greig is still an enticing prospect due to the style he is known for so a package around him could probably work.

Would love to sign Mangiapane to a contract if he hits UFA.

Greig and Ostapchuk for Quinn and Wahlberg?

Quinn > Greig
Ostapchuk > Wahlberg

why would Buffalo trade Tuch, and what would we be willing to give up to get him?
oh I don't believe they are going to move him. I also don't think they are going to move Quinn but if Greig is in play it should be for Tuch

What would it take to acquire Kappo Kakko. I feel like he’d be a good winger for stutzle
Both kakko and mangiapane (another name mentioned recently in this thread)would be good linemates for stu. Defensively conscious wingers who can skate. Mangiapane can also finish.

Does anyone think Greig has more than 3C upside?

I’m not really seeing it. I think his best case is a complimentary top 6 winger or a really good 3C. I don’t know how much value you get for that in a trade considering his recent struggles, feel like most teams want top 6 centres or guys with that kind of upside.

I think he can be a solid complimentary top 6 winger who can play with very skilled guys. I think if a GM gives us a solid deal in return, it'll be because of the intangibles they perceive from him.

I could see him being a 2C when he reaches his prime years - maybe not on a top team, but somewhere in the league. We're talking about a 22 year old, after all. But even if a 3C/complimentary top 6 winger is "all" he is, that's still a valuable player, especially with his style of play.

I'm not in any rush to trade Greig.

I’d like to hold onto him as well. Just wondering from a trade value perspective what he’d actually get in a return based on his struggles and perceived upside, but I think the points made about his style of play are fair.

I don't think his play this year has hurt his value or changed the projection on him, largely because he has such a solid floor as a player. He's not a top 6 or bust player, and to me he's always been the kind of guy who'll hit his ceiling further down the road as he physically matures.
