For everyone saying Benny will turn around any goalie we choose, just remember we said the same thing about Ondrej Pavelec and we all know how great that turned out...

Pavelec was 3.05 gaa and .910 sv% in 19 games for us. Those aren't terrible numbers for a backup and are quite a bit better than his numbers the year before. He was never that good of a goalie to begin with. His career numbers are 2.88 and .907.

what do you expect to pay a 2C?

i dont so much have an issue paying a 2c, i have an issue paying a 3c to be a 2c AND i have dont like having big money contracts to what your are using as your top two centers starting in their age 29 seasons. that means they both will be downturning from age at the same time AND you will have two big contracts for your top two cs that you will need to kind of hide. it is easy to push one down into a 3c spot, but not both.

If we are paying money for an actual 2c i want to find a guy under the 26 year old range so that there is some offset on when the painful years of the zib contract hit and they arent compounded with another old center of the same age slowing down.

Nobody has more high end talent than the Rangers. 2C and adding depth is their biggest issue.

sounds like you want a unicorn tbh. It'd take another Brass for Zibs type trade

I'd say that means we can get better value for Lundkvist... I believe he's the odd man out. We are NOT dealing Schneider unless its an "offer we can't refuse" type situation, and I think Lundkvist has more trade value than Jones. I'd say he has to go. Maybe Robertson as well, but he needs to get some NHL time to max out his value.

I actually don't mind Chytil in his current role.

3C Chytil can be a massive mismatch for other teams. This is kind of what happened in the playoffs.

I want him eating some PK minutes though.
