At 11.5 million, Panarin's rumored contract is a higher percentage of the cap (14.1%) than Nash's when we traded for him (13%) or Hank's when he signed his contract (12.3%).

He's a better player than Nash. As much as I loved those teams, this team has a much higher ceiling with our talent being a whole lot cheaper.

Yea, because bringing in a 22 year old center is really comparable to a soon to be 28 year old winger.

Come on.

You can argue for wanting Panarin, but those of us who didn't want him had a very strong case for why it was the wrong signing at the wrong time.

For me, it's a little bit high as far as the cap hit. I'm hopful Gorton can make a couple more moves to alleviate some of the wing depth (Namestnikov and Kreider)
