good one.fair to guess we're looking at
Kreider - Zibanejad - Vatrano
Panarin - Strome - Hunt
Goodrow - McKegg - Reaves
Lafreniere - Chytil - Brodzinki
for the next while right?
Plus Florida is likely clearing up cap space for a bigger move. They just needed him gone ASAP. No point in wasting time between trying to get a 3rd instead of a 4th.healthy scratch this year
High salary for a 3rd liner that FLA needed to move to make a bigger move.Wonder what the catch is? Typically a guy like him would fetch a 2nd/3rd at minimum
Seems to be injury prone based on his GP per season.
Everybody screaming we will do something stupid cause Drury is the dumbest GM in the League. Well, there is still time for that, but this trade isn't one of them. Vatrano is everything everybody on this board has been claiming we should get.
Good at 5v5. Fast. Versatile. Doesn't shy away from the net or the corners. Isn't a great defensive player, but isn't a liability. Shoots the puck.
Great deal and honestly, if he works out, see what his contract demands are. If they are sub 3 million, maybe we should consider an extension.
Those don't grow on trees and he's been a GM for not even a full year. Dare I say... give him a chance?Drury still gets an F- until he can procure some young, long term centers, and get the rest of our kids developed.
Someone should photoshop the old Sather meme that has him wearing a top hat and holding a magician wand with Drury.Everybody screaming we will do something stupid cause Drury is the dumbest GM in the League. When the Drury and co. cleaned house, he must of sealed up all the leaks. This move wasn't on anyones radar.
Not a bad start.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gallant gave Vatrano a look on the 2nd line to start, but ultimately I think he ends up on the 3rd line with Chytil and Hunt stays where he is until Kakko returns, or if they add another forward.Genuinely glad to see that their first move of this deadline was a smart, low-cost add that everyone on here actually agrees with
Vatrano would be a sneaky good addition to the Panarin-Strome line and adds that element of fast players that can actually generate offense off the rush that we're lacking right now.
Go get me Yanni Gourde and Nick Robertson, and I'll be very happy

This, to me, is the biggest reason Strome needs to go. Losing Strome may be the best thing for Kakko's time in NY, because Panarin will have to adjust.ppl forgetting how allergic panarin and strome are to kakko and how little time it took for gallant to move kakko to the 93-20 line despite playing his best hockey as an NYR.
No.He's going to wear 77?
