After that faceplant, Stevens was never the same. They had to reconstruct his face. I won't go into the details as I am squeamish.

We all know what happened thereafter. I am glad Kevin is back on his feet. Glad too that Chris Nilan has found his way as well,

The injury, massive substance abuse, alcohol....he still somehow put in a few decent seasons. His 2nd last season, 23 pts in 32 games, not too shabby. Yet his mind was miles away from the rink.

Chris Nilan. Maybe some of you have already, but if you haven't, tune into Knuckles Podcast.
Easily one of my favorites.
Incredible interviews with Stan Jonathan and Terry O'Reilly.

Both hyped and nervous for Thursday!

I think if these teams played 100x USA wins 61-63 of them, primarily due to the goaltending difference.

I just hope Thursday isn’t among the 47-49.

Team USA and Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been ruled out of Thursday’s 4 Nations Face-Off championship game against Canada.

McAvoy suffered an upper-body injury that saw him admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday night, with reports suggesting that a minor injury had led to an infection.

The Bruins announced Tuesday that McAvoy will not play in the final.

Haha yes. Another brilliant latter day Sinden signing.

Remember O'Connell saying that he and Harry were watching a game and Stevens flinched and turned away from a check.

They both rose from their feet in surprised displeasure.

"Shocked and chagrined," as fattie Ordway would have it.

addiction is a bitch, no other way to put it, sadly the happy endings when it comes to addiction are far less than the sad one`s as most don`t make it through to the other side where sobriety is.

Another tragic tale attached

That would be better then wrecking that shoulder long as they clear that infection out.Usually infections come from open cuts though right?

That's illegal. Or it should be.

That's not how injuries work dammit! You don't just get slot in somebody better than the guy you lost lmao.

Canada loses Makar for a game, they have to settle for Thomas Harley

McAvoy goes down? Oh no biggie, here's the arguable norris trophy frontrunner to take his place.

Even if it is "just" an infection I am concerned especially after the Bruins' statement. The team just doesn't do something like that, there has to be more to it.

Why didn’t he make the team in the first place? I haven’t been following much.

You should see some of the BS they try to pull in my Sunday night men's league when it comes to subs.

You've got ten skaters. You don't need a sub, let alone the best player in the league who just wants extra ice time and never back checks.

Thanks.

I think in the future they need to have a lot more reserve players on the roster for this reason. They shouldn’t be able to just pick and choose after the fact.
My guess is that Hughes was always in the mix in case of an emergency even after declining his spot.

Yea, well who cares how good a player is .USA was not crying when Harkey stepped in and played great. Its not USA fault Canada don't have a player as good as Hughes to step in.Put Carlo in its ok though I bet 😆
