I felt bad for the Boston fans; they wanted something to cheer for, but it was a lackluster game. It felt as if Team USA came out flying, then after Kreider's goal, felt they didn't want to tip their hand too much before Thursday.

I asked the question after the tournament finished up in Montreal if Boston would have as much pomp and circumstance. Obviously not.

Though I will say, I enjoyed the atypical music selections. After Sweden's penalty, I heard Goodbye to You by Scandal, followed by Judas Priest's Breaking the Law. And during one stoppage I couldn't believe they were playing Take Me To the Top, a Motley Crue deep cut.

Did they play Free Bird after Krieder's goal?

They need to fly Jim Cornelison out to do the National Anthem on Thursday night and blow the roof off the place.

No disrespect intended to Todd Angilly, but it’s time to bring the big guns out…

This is how it’s done..

I still remember watching on TV, the 1991 Canada Cup match between the USA-USSR at Chicago Stadium, place was LOUD. I think Chelios played in front of his hometown that game but don't remember if Olczyk did.

I can't remember if he played without Google but he definitely was on that team, but he was member of Jets I believe.

It was a long day at TD Garden but worth it.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature threw a monkey wrench into this and ruined my Sunday as a routine 5-hour drive from Montreal to Boston turned into a 15-hour slog. I wanted to do things with out-of-town friends and couldn't.

The NHL and not the Bruins ran the game experience at TD Garden and ordered that there would be no organ, the PA announcer was from Vancouver, and the in-arena hostess was terrible. The NHL did allow Michel Lacroix to do the PA in Montreal and IMHO he should have done the games in Boston as well as his voice is iconic.

BUT the hockey has been tremendous and Thursday night could be remembered for decades to come.

Seems like a lot of guys got banged up

I wonder how nhl owners feel about it

The regular season is played at 55 mph

The playoffs at 75 mph

The US- Canada & Sweden - Finland were 90 MPH

Human body could not maintain that physicality

Hope McAvoy is alright ~ maybe play similar to that in the playoffs but you won’t last like that long. My advice is use that sparingly when the hit is delivered on a platter

Going to hospital makes me think of Bledsoe- that hit on McDavid was a car crash

Terry O’Reilly believe it or not had very good offensive skills but it really only was 3 seasons his body was so beat up and he was never the same nor was Clark Gillies after their 4 iconic fights in the 81? Playoffs

I wonder what the league's hang-up is with the organ? Not wanting to pay the organist is all I can guess.

Everybody Wants To Rule the World was an excellent song choice for the television spots. But they used a somewhat lame cover, instead of the timeless original; which was likely due to cost.

I caught glimpses of the in-game hostess, I believe. She was dressed in blue and had a high-pitched voice. I don't know the necessity of something like that, but there were a good amount of fans from Sweden.

Once Canada won and the night game lost its meaning, I was hoping for a long shot to make it interesting. Either Swayman vs. Ullmark at TD Garden, or better yet JT Miller and Elias Pettersson dropping the gloves and settling their feud once and for all. ;)

It certainly isn't money when you consider that they are flying in a PA announcer from the NHL city, which is the furthest from Boston.

I talked to a senior NHL official about this and he said the Olympics don't use an organ and we are trying to emulate that. I whipped out my phone and showed him these videos from 2014 that I UPLOADED TO YOU TUBE

His response to me was one word about someone born on December 25th.

Think about this, the Russians hired TWO NHL organists

The Yanks are hurting.

Charlie McAvoy was admitted to Mass. General Hospital Monday night as Team USA was battling Team Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off at TD Garden, two sources familiar with the situation confirmed.

Team USA coach Mike Sullivan, who is also McAvoy’s father-in-law, said following the Americans’ 2-1 loss that the Bruins defenseman is dealing with an upper-body injury.
The Americans are set to face Canada in the championship game Thursday at TD Garden.

McAvoy has a history of shoulder woes and had surgery in 2022 for a left shoulder arthroscopic stabilization procedure. It’s unclear if his latest injury is related.

Goalie Bob could help but it starts younger than this. I just finished listening to Dom and Chris Nosek on the What`s Bruin pod, for those who haven`t seen/watched it, do yourself a favor and do so and Dom spoke to the development program teams from Europe have for goalies and he and Chris nailed it, of the 3 goalies currently on the TC Roster, would any of them be in your top 12 in the NHL? Not a bloody chance

Hell, my personal feeling is USA Hockey has a far stronger approach to developing young players that Canada does
Boils down to money. USA developed players with a whole differeNt approach. High end talent are developed at the national level. Means money. Canada still leaves that to local organizations.

Not good Wally—the Bruins need McAvoy.
