I want them to hire him in Player Development, but for European players. So he can stay there and travel and keep tabs on the Eurppean prospects.
I'd really like for us to create a European operations branch of the organization with the sole focus of scouting, recruiting and developing players based in Europe. There's a number of former European Habs who I think would be perfect for it (Koivu, Plekanec, Spacek).

Sign me up. I'd love it. And then you have someone like Ramage run the operation since he's Director of Player Development.

Habs now have Kapanen, Kostenko, Gordin, Dichow, Engstrom, and Nurmi in Europe. So they'd have a group of guys they'd be able to follow and keep tabs on.

You guys remember when Jiri Sekac was a NHL player ?

I remember how good he looked at the rookie camp. He was heads and shoulders above everyone else.

Sekac, downtown rumours say he's been too much party animal. Not recuperable.

I would take it a step further and sign agreements with different teams in various European countries. Teams we could assign players to.

Does anybody here remember where they were when THIS GUY skated for the Habs for the very first time? Do you? Nah, of course you don't. But I DO. I was freezing my ass off for YOU all. Everytime a guy like that retires, I just cry a little thinking of the reports I made thinking they all could or should have been so much more than what they actually were...well...except for this guy. Never remembers being impressed.....lolll Anyway, happy retirement Mark. We are linked for life whether you like it or not. You, Oskari Korpikari, Niklas Torp and so many many others....

Him, Jon Gleed and Philippe Paquet should have been the core of our defense for 10+ seasons and you'll never convince me otherwise!!

I tell you...Oskari Korpikari. The guy was a rock. He had no idea where the offensive zone was....but in all the camps I saw him, I've never seen him be beaten 1 on 1. Never. I still have hope for him....even though he seemed to have retired in 2015....lol. I declare him teh best defensive d-man that never was any good. Flood was just...invisible. Yeah, Gleed was pretty good defensively too.

Ironically, they all ended up having fairly long pro careers at various levels. Just not in the NHL and definitely not with us !

Happy 75th birthday, Kenny!

You’re remembered for lots of things but the poses you struck when the puck wasn’t in play, will forever be legendary.

Not sure where else to post this but it is amazing when you think about it

Especially when you consider the next closest is Brodeur with 113 wins.
