Was just browsing hockeydb and noticed Danny Kristo never played in the NHL, wow. He had decent stats in AHL, and was highly touted iirc.... is there a story about this, like how he never earned 1 sniff in the NHL?
Coaches must really dislike him.
Not only did he have that drunken frostbite incident at college after being drafted by Habs, after being traded to NYR, playing for their AHL affiliate (CT Whale), he had multiple similar incidents here as well in a drunken stuper…

Can probably piece together the rest of the puzzle of why he never got a sniff..

Not going to really cry for him. He made his bed and he also has been paid to play hockey around the world for a decade almost now.

Looks like Jacob De La Rose is moving to the Swiss league next season, Gottéron to be exact.

39 year old Plekanec had a good season in the top league in Czechia with 54 points in 54 games. Next closest teammate had 33.

Markov's my favorite Hab of all time. His shot was accurate, but not particularly great.

His wrist shot goals came mostly from pinching down the left wall. He wasn't beating goalies from the blue line with a wrister like Petry can, for example.
Slap shot, same thing. Good placement and technique, average velocity. The Weber/Subban - Markov PPs with Markov at the point were much less effective than the Markov - Souray/Streit/Schneider/MAB PPs in part because of this. He needed to be closer to be dangerous.

This is not a level that I think will be out of Nemec's reach. He has very good instincts in the offensive zone and times himself well to get open. He moves his feet well along the line and has excellent hands/deceptiveness to create lanes. He just doesn't shoot it enough right now.

Is this really such an issue that it justifies bumping him several spots down your lists?

I don't want to steer the convo further as the discussion about Nemec is interesting.

That said, I don't think you're remembering Markov very well.

This is him past his prime. Guy had a laser. Petry wishes he could shoot like this (I'm kidding there, Petry's a good shot)..

Markov was a decent shooter, but he never happened to be the best shooting option on the Habs. His skillset was obviously better used as the playmaker than the triggerman.

Not sure I've ever heard or read a player with such a gap in playing than Daniel Pribyl. Played with Calgary farm team in 16-17 and seriously injured himself. And then....6 games played with Sparta in....21-22.

Michael Cichy finished his first under 1 ppg season in the Polish hockey league. He currently has a total of:
173 goals, good for 39th all-time
229 assists, 24th all-time
402 points, 27th all-time

39 PO goals, 10th all-time
52 PO assists, 6th all-time
91 PO points, 9th all-time

I believe he doesn't have an extension in place with GKS Tychy yet.

Sorry for pursuing on Markov, but he was truly elite at the time he was battling with Green for best scoring defencemen.

His ability to be forgotten as a threat and slowly gliding near the circles for a one-timer made him look like Ovechkin. But he was even better at finding open players and getting passes through the other team.

If Nemec's talent was hinting in this direction, I'd be happy if they picked him 1OA, but I doubt it

Man, what a disappointment. Really seemed to be getting his life back on track, was on Marinaro’s show recently. Apparently not.
Sure is. He hasn't been convicted, but in 2015 he was sued in civil court for sexually assaulting his children's babysitter and he settled that case, and as I recall was apologetic.

And now charged. Sounds like a predator.

He was the QB, he had other shooting options, and his shot was good enough to score if he was left open. He didn't have the big power shot but he had a good combination of power and accuracy.

Radulov going back to the KHL. Apparently it's a 2-year deal:

He came back to the NHL and proved himself. But Bergevin was right, a five year deal was always iffy. Dallas got a couple of good years out of that deal before he started slowing down. His KHL contract is probably better then anything he would have been offered by an NHL team for next season, especially Dallas one of the older teams in the league.

Just finished watching the entire 1st season of Shoresy. Didn't realize that the guy that plays "Hitch" in that show is former Habs player Terry Ryan.
