Didn't even notice him in the Sharks loss to the Ducks, he won't make it in the NHL.....

Did Cooper ever give Colton a legitimate shot in the top 6? Scored a fair amount on our 3rd line, I don't recall him playing much with Kucherov or Point.

I think he got a very brief look on the top lines, maybe a couple times, talking like a few consecutive shifts in a game here and there, but not a serious look that I remember.

Not much of one. The same can be said for players like JAM and Verhaeghe as well. I didn't like trading Colton at the time and still don't. The same amount of cap could've been basically used for Colton and an 800k player instead of what they used on Jeannot and Sheary. Not to mention the extra couple of picks Tampa could've kept.

Still the dumbest trade of all time. Could have acquired Nick Bjugstad (one of the players many discussed) or Eric Robinson (who I wanted) for a 3rd at the 2023 Deadline. BriseBois so dumb.
 
Colton was going to improve, obviously but he clearly outpriced himself the year he was up for renewal. There was slim to no chance we could've retained him.

No one knows if 4 million was as low as he'd go in Tampa as well. It would've been a little difficult, and maybe another small move would've had to have been made, but there could've been room for Colton. The return was meh, and Gauthier is still 2 years from being helpful, if he ever will be.

It wasn't a great couple of moves from JBB, but overall, he's made more good moves than really bad ones.

Stammer still at one point (goal) in 7 games. This has to be the worst start to his career aside from his rookie season. I believe he's going to go on a hot streak at some point, I can't see him finishing under 25 goals.

I wonder if there's an injury on the Predators as Stamkos is currently playing with Sissons as his center, who's career high in points in a 10 year career is 35.

Could have let the other two go and paid Colton

We choose Sheary and Jeannot over Colton basically

He's got a lot of incredible national parks to choose from in his downtime - Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce, Zion. Then there's the state parks and national monuments. Southern Utah is an embarrassment of natural riches.

Daughter lives in Park City so I'm somewhat knowledgeable, and biased. SLC, besides being home to the Tabernacle, is a VERY progressive town. Two universities, and a record of three Democratic mayors, one of whom was a lesbian. The whole area is very "outdoorsy", and as Off said, the Wasatch and the southern NP's are pretty cool. Oh, and skiing is world class with some of the best powder on the planet. I like Reno, but I could live in SLC/PC easy.

Now, as to his nonchalance, I too was amused at the "so what" body language, but he's now the 'old pro" and he's thinking there's alot more to come--I'm not gonna get excited. At least, that's what I took from it.

Utah has a fantastic future ahead of them. Maybe one of the best futures in the league. The biggest problem with that franchise was not knowing if the Coyotes would be moved the next day. So literally nothing ever got done. If Serg is unhappy about going to Utah then dude basically gave up on a team with massive upside in a town that is hidden mountain treasure in the span of a few months. I'd hate to see him deal with one of those "cities on the river" like Detroit, St. Paul or Pittsburgh

I mention the political nature of SLC only because, for anybody that thinks they know everything there is to know about Utah, the difference is dramatic and not without tensions between the LDS that SURROUNDS Salt Lake City and the city itself. Point being, Sergachev finds himself in a great, cosmopolitan city with a wonderful sports oriented populace that, for the most part, is not not shy about hoisting a beer to celebrate a red light at the Delta Center.

The Utah, LDS influenced Republican Party is different from the national Republican Party.
