And today is exactly why Giants fans were not overly cocky/optimistic coming into this season.
To be fair both Dallas and Philly are the top Superbowl favorites in the NFC to me. Only the 49'ers come close. But yeah, I was expecting a step back this year in spite of being a better team on paper. 7-10, 8-9, 9-8 at best. There are still a lot of big pieces missing before this team is ready to make the playoffs. Plus, Dallas and Philly need to lose some of their top guys to attrition somehow.

It's going to take several years of drafting to erase the damage of Gettleman.

The entire team looks like crap.

I've literally seen nothing like this.

Hope the Rangers there are taking notes on how not to play.

Evan Neal looks like a bust. Complete unfettered access on the right side.

Somehow I think the Jets might do even worse tomorrow night.

Jets have a habit of humiliating themselves in prime time .
Not possible. The Giants basically pulled down their pants and took a dump on the field. Possibly the most disgraceful performance in team history. The entire organization should be ashamed.

There’s no team that played worse than The Giants yesterday. That was complete and total beat down.

Evan Neal looks like a total bust, and as much as I believe in Daboll, the team didn’t look ready to play and he kept Jones in way too long.

I don't love the way this team prepared in the preseason.

I think back to the last game where the Jets were out there with all of their starters like it was the Superbowl and the Giants were still playing a team of backups.

Last night, they looked like a team that hadn't played, because they haven't played. You need reps.

I'm not saying I expect to beat Dallas but there's no excuse for how lopsided that game was. 40-0 was probably generous.

Once again for the billionth season in a row it looks like we are going to suffer at both sides of the line.

Can’t protect our QB. Can’t pressure the other teams QB.

I couldn’t stop noticing Evan Neal who was basically an elderly Walmart Greeter behind automatic sliding doors.

Kayvon Thibodeaux might as well have not even played.

Last night was embarrassing. We looked great on that first drive until the penalty, then everything fell apart. You couldn't have scripted a worse performance.

The only good thing, besides the tailgate, was getting to bed at a reasonable time because we left early.

It looked like it was pouring on TV. Hope the tailgate equipment at least stayed dry.

Hey the snoopy bowl is a big deal to us. But didn't the giants play starters in week 2?

For a bit, but I don't think the number of reps or the gravity behind them were appropriate.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a criticism of the Jets. I'm not going to be sour grapes over a preseason results. All I'm saying is, they looked very prepared for that game and came out with a high level of intensity. It was the right thing to do.

I never felt we had a true dress rehearsal like that. I know you don't want guys to get hurt but that display last night was clear lack of preparation.
