Just get this thing to f***ing overtime. Then we out skill these goons into the ground and finally beat Farter effing Cart. Nope Sevo100 has to cough up the puck. Thank god we have Luke Hughes and Nemic coming up!
Sevo100 lol love it

The same people who are saying this team's young and are going to mentally fragile are completely ignoring the fact Pittsburgh went on a L7 and now on a bender, this shit happens over the course of a long season. If you went into the game tonight knowing shots would be like 45-20 or whatever it was, you think the Devils would lose 2-1? Not to mention, the Flyers have done the same shit to multiple Metro teams this season. Yeah, they're a shitty team but even shitty teams win sometimes.

Decade plus of irrelevance. You all can enjoy watching the 18 wheeler continue to tailspin. Not worth the aggrivation for me I’ve learned over the past few. Out of sight out of mind and I can just check out of it all.
Eh you do you. There's teams that haven't even won a cup. Rangers have 4 cups since the Stone Age. Toronto hasn't won a playoff series in over a decade, which is way harder to endure imo than a rebuilding team putting the pieces together and yeah, struggling in the process. It was painful over the last decade, but it seems like fans just think so singularly versus having some situational context and perspective. First of all, a decade isn't that long, lol. And people are minimalizing the effect the Covid seasons had on a young, rebuilding team. It had an obvious effect. Team has shown what they are capable of doing when they're dialed in.

Oh. Wait. Wait. You know what this is all setting up right? Schmid doesn’t win Saturday. Blackwood gets called up and gets the Canes on Tuesday and kickstarts a 10 game winning streak.
Yippy

At least that means he won't play in Sunrise on Wednesday when I'm in attendance.

Stop with the "sniper" talk. The team has plenty of finishing. Hughes, Hischier, Bratt, Holtz, Shara, Zetterlund - all good finishers.

Do you think a sniper is player that can magically score on a night like tonight? Doesn't work like that. They go just as cold as everyone else but they score a hat trick in a game you win by five goals.
It’s a fair point, but there are games like this too where a sniper is the only guy that manages to find the back of the net.

I think this team could use another big power forward in the top 5 as well…that could serve to possibly get a greasy goal in a game like this, rounding out the entire spectrum of offensive threats.

This is why I could never get onto the 'at least poor old Damon is finally on a winner' bandwagon...dude's been a big part of the problem the last few years with his cowboy up nonsense

"Bet on myself" Jesper Bratt now has 2 goals in 11 games. Came out of the gate on fire and now has kind of disappeared. His skating is beautiful but he does absolutely nothing once he has the puck around the net.

Pinning this loss on Severson is so stupid. Yes, it was a bad play. How about all the guys that took penalties, those weren't bad plays? Turnovers at the blue line?

We didn't lose this game because of a turnover, we lost because we scored one goal.

I agree but the dude has been known to do shit like that so he's an easy target. But it's also on Severson not trying to do something stupid in a tied game late.

By thee way, I liked the line combinations tonight, a lot. They looked good out there.
I thought Shara skated better than he had I. A while. Tatar looks to maybe be reverting to what he was before he found some offense this season. As a line Hischier and Zetterlund and Tatar need some strategy for how to play against a team packing the goal crease. There is a coaching element to this that can help. Bratt is a bit conservative and has to play with some flow to be at his best. Poor Haula.

I'm just feeling all sorts of disappointment right now.

Having to endure such frustrating losses is just too much.

I'm out until this goddamn team wins a f****** game.

I want to be happy, dammit! :banghead:

hes got 8 points in his last 12 games

Losing in regulation again is a killer too. Get these games to OT at least. Rest of this division always loses in OT.

You can't keep losing in regulation like this
Yes. You are correct. If they keep losing in regulation they may have to move the franchise to Houston and rebrand as thr Diablos.

Halfway to Stan Fischler's age or there abouts.
So am I, but I also have to say that I'm no more quick witted than he is these days. I can't even imagine being all with it at 70 years old with how much brain fog I have these days and how much I forget things that I remembered 3 years ago.

I watched Yaroslav Halak single handedly stop the greatest goalscorer in our generation over and over again in the 2010 playoffs. This how hockey be like sometimes.

His cooling off coincidentally started when it was leaked the parties had opened some preliminary contract talks. It wouldn’t shock me if he was uptight about that. I don’t think he really wants to play thr brinksmanship game and get traded to San Jose.
