The Flyers acquire a pick in a nice move. Just to dump a higher value pick in a pointless one. These guys just can’t stand the idea of net ADDING picks.

People here and in the media have a similar strange logic that I have noticed. When they make a questionable move involving a mid round pick its something like "maybe they think they can make another move to replace that pick"

I have no idea where this line of thinking comes from. Why are we connecting multiple trades as if losing value in one is fine as long as you do something else to break even? Do people not know you can come out ahead???

Are they not coming off a road win vs the best team in hockey?

Do they not have the 6th most points in the Eastern Conference and appear likely to earn a playoff berth?

With Walker traded, Risto hurt, Drysdale hurt, Seeler hurt, am I wrong, or is their D:

York-Sanheim
Zamula-Staal
Ginning-Attard

Am I wrong, or is that 3 rookie D, including a guy who's played 2 career NHL games, and one who has played 19. And the guy who has played 19 games is the only RHD.

So, yeah, I understand the idea of adding a RHD as they approach the playoffs, even if I'm meh on the deal.
So you think trading for bad players and wasting picks is ok?

"You can make deadline trades, but I must warn you, the trades are cursed"

"That's bad..."

"But you'll pick up a free 5th to broker a Hanafin trade!"

"That's good!"

"You'll then trade a 4th for Eric Johnson"

"That's bad..."

"But you'll get an extra first!"

"That's good!"

"It will cost your highest value trade asset, and you have to take on 2 years of another cap dump. Also give up a 5th for some reason. Also Laughton won't be traded and Seeler will be resigned for 4 years, 2 of which have a NTC"

"Can I go now?"

It comes from Fletcher who defended trading all of our 2nd round picks by saying they were far out and plenty of time to recoup them.

Narrator: He did not recoup a single one.

I answered your question. You avoided mine.

And what's the deal with these personal insults today? I can't imagine you treat people this way in real life.
